Need Help with Freelander TD4 HSE SW 2004

Hey Gents. Still have the same problem. I changed the long vacuum hose, definitely the right one this time. still feels sluggish and still black smoke.
Trying to find online where the other vac pipes are, so far no luck. Do I now change the solenoid or are the other steps to take first?
Is the pipe in the photo I added the same ID as the vac pipe?

Do all TD4's have a boost solenoid filter? cant find one on mine, looked down the back followed pipes from solenoid and nothing.

Yes. It should be on the end of the black pipe, from the boost control valve. If the filter is missing. The control valve can become blocked.
 
No drama Nodge, bit of banta is alright with me..
There are 3 pipes that come from the boost control valve if I'm right, 1 goes to the vac tank, 1 goes to the turbo? and the other goes up the where there should be a filter?, but in my case it don't it just seems to be connected to like a metal hose. I will take another pic to show what I'm talking about Nodge

If it's connected to a metal pipe that has a downturn at the end? Then that's the problem. That downturned pipe is the IRD breather. It should be free to the atmosphere. As should the boost filter. ;)

Yes. The metal pipe should be free to the atmosphere. The rubber pipe should go to an in line fuel type filter. For testing, just pull it off and see if the power returns. ;)
 
Nodge, your a gentleman which is a lot more than I can say about some moronic geriatrics I seem to be encountering in my short time here.

I was also hoping to be able to clean the MAF sensor, though I have no idea what it looks like, where to find it or how best to clean it. any tips?
