LP fuel pressure is dropping low. 276 is too low. Would.expect 320 minimum.

Not sure what pressure it cuts the HP pump to protect it but LP fuel pump would be my next replacement. Get a good make. PIERBURG if you can get one.

Before you buy the pump. It is worth unplugging the hp sensor on the end of the fuel rail and the lp sensor which is down near the steering rack behind the battery.

Spray clean the connectors and try one more time

My TD4 has a lp pressure of 390 -425 kpa.

So 275 is very low.

Also, thinking of other possible causes.

There is a fuel filter in the tank unit with the fuel gauge sender. Access under rear seat and carpet.

Worth a read. This one turned out to be the LP sensor itself.

I will test tomorrow lp sensor and see. As an ideea, can you provide a part code for LP sensor because i can't find this part.

Hi. With lp sensor out, live data shows 440 kpa every time (at idle and at full throttle) and eml with exclamation mark still appears (still with sensor out).
Any ideea how can i measure this sensor? Needs measurement on sensors pins or on plug's pins?

I have measured lp sensor.
Pin 1 it has 5.06 v - idle and throttle
Pin 2 (it vary between 7 and 10 kohm) i have an automatic measure machine and i think that's why it shows like this on zero scale
Pin 3 it has 3.8v at idle and 3.2v at throttle.

What i should do next? Pump changed or this sensor changed?

I'd ignore how long the reader says the MIL has been on. The issue for the OP is why is it lighting up on the dash momentarily with a corresponding loss of power, and low mpg.

@manoleandreigabriel@gmail When you apply full throttle, is there much smoke from the exhaust?

Hi,

For the temp sensor, open your eyes look next to yellow oil gauge, there is a connector just next to it. The engine works perfectly without it.

For fuel sensor, on your diag device you should have live data for the fuel presure first the low presure pump and the high presure pump. Check that first.

Can be the fuel filter, the low presure pump …
Hi Alteredtech, any thoughts after measurements?

should be 5V at PIN 1, PIN 2 should be 0V, and PIN 3 at idle should be approximately 4.3V, and when the low fuel line pressure increases the voltage output should increase from 4.3V to just under 5V

So yours is reading low pressure which we know.

It could be pump low pressure or the sensor not giving correct values.

Can you find a spare sensor to eliminate it ??

If not then go for cheapest part first !!

The only other thing to do is install a pressure gauge to see what the fuel pressure really is LP. But that is complex and requires test gear.
