Ryder IF its a rear main oil seal it is gearbox back or even drop it out best to renew the clutch at the same time. Would need to make sure its defo the rear main before undertaking such a manouver.
 
Er Kris I think Dan was booked up for the London to Brighton. I would be up for it especially if there is a decent group camping but would need to get my mota through its MOT next couple of weeks and go from there Jai

OK, sounds lke a good idea to me, I'll make a start by degreasing everything I can see and running the engine up to temperature. Should get a better idea of whats what.

I will shortly be selling the following, probably on ebay,

235 85 R16 bronco grip edge x 5 on Range rover alloys,
750 R16 mitchelin xcl tyres x 5 on landy rims,
235 85 R16 bronco grizzly claws x 4 on modulars,
Land rover 90 back axle complete (drum type)
Land Rover 90 Transfer box 1.4 ratio, new seals inc (no more oil leaks)
Land rover hydraulic jack and handle etc,
and Various other bits from the garage.

Peterborough was kool today, glenn came up and joined me, picked up lots of lil bits n pieces, best buys -
Rear window guards £25 pair
LR genuine fleece and polo shirt £35
Free LRO Chair coz i subscribed to them.


Think we'll have to make it an event to go to next year!!!!

I assume the first one will be where we met up for the Salisbury trip.

BTW, think I might need to do the bushes on front radius arms, any chance you might be able to help with access to a press? Also need to change the bushes on the front anti-roll bar - they is shot!! Won't be doing this immediately but will need to sort it in the next month or so.
 
no worries Kev ill be doing my front radius arm bushes in the next couple of weeks or so as mine are fubar'd and i got my Mot due soon could make it a mission Jai

Well good evening all! Had another go at getting the damn starter motor out this evening... even had the long extension as advised. No luck... top bolt just refuses to be pursuaded. Could try dynamite but there might be some collateral damage (not to mention sending rose into labour!). Ah well... give it another try tomorrow soaked the thing in WD40 so I livein hope!
 
First Choice cancelled our holiday to Lesvos this morning as they couldn't get another carrier to replace XL. They gave us a full refund and are sending us to Costa Rica instead, Hilton 5* all inclusive, for what works out to be pretty much the same cost, once you've added in the cost of food, drink, sunbeds, etc.:D

Hi Kris,

Think I'll keep it on standard bushes for now. I've heard conflicting opinions on polybushes but since it is on standard springs and dampers etc I might as well leave it alone if you know what I mean. It will be good to get rid of some of the clonks and rattles from the front end though.

BTW, are the Surrey lanes open all year round? Was just thinking we were going to try and get down to your end of the world for a trundle round but so far something has always come up. I think once everyone has recovered from our Salisbury jaunt and all the motors are ready to go perhaps we should arrange something. Waddya fink?

Ryder im loosing the plot I got to work today and completley forgot your belts and air filter my head has gone. I will drop them off tomorrow evening on my way home I gotta do a disco rear shock bushes and anti rollbar tonight so I cant get them to you til tomorra Doh! Jai
