End of an era - time to move on.

OK folks - you haven't heard the last of me - not just yet anyway. My God but Synergy2s are in great demand - mine sold in a flash - thanks to all who enquired. I could have sold 10 of them. Plenty other bits and pieces are still up for grabs at low prices. I'll be updating the list every day...

Assorted Freelander parts, accessories, service items, and spares.

Please see post #5 for what is still available. Thanks to everyone who enquired. I was swamped with enquiries. If I haven't replied to your PM - my apologies, and please ask again. I lost track at the start as my Sent-Box seems to automatically delete and is always empty.

Update: All Synergy kit now sold. Thanks to all who enquired. SV.

    Do I need spacers

235 section tyres should clear the front suspension spring cups with around 7mm to spare. However if they have a very aggressive tread with big lugs at the edge you might need a 5mm spacer. Simple aluminium ones will do as there is enough stud length to fit them without reducing safety. I had...

End of an era - time to move on.

Thanks for the kind words, Brack and SES88. There has been a flurry of PMs and I've just sold all the Synergy parts to a member in the south. I'll see about getting pics of the mats and boot-liner tomorrow if possible. SV.

End of an era - time to move on.

After much thought and searching for a replacement I have decided it time to call it a day and move on. My trusty Freelander has to be replaced. I'm concerned about it's reliability on the long trips we make two or three times a year. It's a five thousand miles + round trip and the last...

Synergy 2a+ with dash switch and Pierburg MAF

I'm selling my 5-door 2004 Facelift TD4 Freelander so have lots of parts for sale. 1. A Synergy 2a+ the upgraded latest model. 2. The latest type Synergy dash switch which gives 3 settings - Eco1, Eco2 and Power. 3. Pierburg MAF for use with Synergy. Preferably I'd like to sell all 3...

    Checks before towing long distances?

Yup - that's big. Very nice. ;)

    Checks before towing long distances?

Well done mate - I'm looking forward to the pics - it does sound a big caravan!

    Checks before towing long distances?

It's wind resistance that can be a slowing factor. Modern caravans with decent aerodynamics are no problem for a Freelander - especially an auto. The weight you're talking about is no problem either for a TD4 My trailer is plated at 2000Kg - but it's usually around no more than 1600Kg...

"Solenoid' Thing beside fuel filter assy??

It's the dedicated fuel pump for the fbh. (Fuel Burning Heater)

    breather pipes

+1 on moving the turbo vent filter higher. I also fitted an extension rubber pipe to the IRD breather pipe. The rear diff can fend for itself. ;) And i don't think the auto box has a breather - or has it?

Heated mirror Comes on with the ignition

Leaving heated seats on drains the battery pretty quick. You haven't done that have you?

    Winter tyres

Something not quite right here. The normal OE 16" tyre size for the Freelander is 215/65 16 which is actually closer to the Conti winters size you have. Your speedo will read a little faster with the 215/60s - but only about 1mph higher than what it would with the OE tyres so no problem there...

Thinking of buying a td4 auto

Apart from the interior seat trim and the wheels, there is very little difference - certainly nothing 'sporty' - apart from the fact that the Sport is 25mm lower than the other models.

    2 stroke oil in diesel

The usual ratio is 1:200 which means 250ml per 50litre or if you prefer 5ml / litre.

Garage just told me my 4wd is a 2wd!?!

Welcome to Landyzone, MellyJ. :welcome2: I think you've been had. Any garage worth calling a garage would know that it was 2WD. Whereabouts in Scotland are you? You local Citizens' Advice Bureaux can help you too. Get on to it asap as a 2WD Freelander is not much good when it...

    Facelift water proof seat covers

I reckon that the rear seat covers are the same for both 3 and 5 door models. At least the 60/40 split seat ones are. I have a full set of covers - for front and rear seats. The double rear seat incorporates an arm rest which the covers are tailored to fit. They are in perfect...

    petrol in tank

There should be a drain/sedimenter under the rear wheel-arch near the fuel pump/filter gizmo holder - meant for draining water out of the system. £20 is only 14 litres or so - so not a problem to fill 3 small cans. I wouldn't worry about getting every last drop out. Put in a 500ml of 2-Stroke...
