would turn so we could get the cable off. I let him waffle on n on n on & just agreed with him. When he buggered off
the lads turned round & said he talks so much poo its unreal. 🤣🤣

I told the lads dont do what he said get me a burning torch.....I burnt through the brake which is like a big horse shoe going
round the drum activated on/off via a hydraulic ram & since the diddys cut all the wires/pipes no chance of getting it to work.
I cut the horseshoe into 3 bits & we levered it off then I cut the drive chains going to the gearbox & pumps...............

and like magic it spun round 🤣🤣

Part 2 of the winch wire.............

To make it easier to turn I cut the massive weights off the drum..
Got some wire off then up round a pole where the wheelhouse was....got a bull dog cable clamp done a loop then attached it to the manitou pulled so far then it slipped so got another one & used the ugaduga on them & tried again the started to pull it down the pier its about 300m got a quarter way down then one of the workers drove up n abandoned his motor on the pier ffs
the cable is mega tight & all I could think of was Ghost ship when the cable snaps. :oops::oops: Me trying to shout get it moved
then some half drunk dude appears from nowhere walking past the machine down to the ship wots going on here :eek::eek:
Me shouting whistling on the radio & phone loud speaker to stop the manitou. :mad::mad::mad:

I gave him a mouthful & told him to *sixth letter off the alphabet* off I was very angry.. if that cable came off omg
New plan now in place to just cut it with the sthil saw as its taking too long. Tried burning through it but it has copper
in the middle O goody 🤣🤣

My throat hurts...not surprized tbh lol
 
Adapted a set of forks for me mighty Fergie out of an old set of forks off an old front loader.
Got a job to do for ‘neighbour’ - can you shift a pallet of paint into the garage

Turns out there was 300 litres on the pallet 😳
Took four buckets off and the front wheels were just skimming the ground 🤪

Nothing like having the scare of ur life , in this weather I normally leave my kitchen door open all the time

Nodded off on the sofa and was woken up around 6am thurs with something jumping on my legs , thought what the hell , found it was a black tabby cat that came in out of the rain and looking for food as it was meowing like mad so gave it one of my tins of tuna along with a bowl of milk , my god I thought it was going to lick the glaze off the bowl it was that hungry 🤣

it spent the day snoozing upstairs so left it to rest and get dry then it left when it started to get dark again, assume it had just got lost and will find its way home , didn’t have a collar either

Morning All. :D
The fibbing device in the bathroom tells me I have at last managed to get to just under 14 Stone. :)
I saw my Osteopath yesterday and she straightened out all of the kinks put in by the worktop cutting and kitchen re-jigging the day before. Then of course I drove to the tip and unloaded all said old worktops out of the Rangie and put all the kinks back in.:)
Achy as an achy-thing this morning. :(
