FREELANDERS RULE.

My Freelander is the bestist and has:

Leffer heated comfortable seats. The only thing going for it
Comfortable suspension. You mean it gets stuck?
Enough power to accelerate 0 to 60mph in 10 seconds. I'd get there just about the same and my HG will be intact.
Brakes that actually work. 67 to 0mph in 4 seconds. Most all disc Defenders will be just as good
Space for 4 passengers to travel in comfort. Space for 9 passengers to travel in comfort
Air conditioning (proper air con - not a hole in the bulkhead) In the UK? Who cares!
A heater that works. Pussy
Smooth auto gearbox with optional sport mode and manual shift. As above
Headlights that actually light up the road ahead. same
No rust. What do you tinker with on a Sunday?
A radio you can hear. Same
4 wheel drive. Defender uses a better system.
Electronic traction control. Has it failed yet? I'll tap my brakes and use skill to drive off road
ABS. Same
Hill Descent Control. I'll use my low box and the correct gear
Electronic Brake force Distribution. Electronic? Really, in a Brtish car!
Boot space big enough to put in everything I need. Boot space big enough for YOUR needs! I could put a cement mixer and a genny in mine and still have space for the new fence timber and some cement!
A diagnostic socket I can use to fault find it. I use mechanical skills and find the fault quicker than you can plug the machine in
Electric windows and mirrors. Do they still work?
Roof bars so I can fit ma roof rack bars. We don't need stupid bars, ours fit to the gutter so we don't have wind noise when not fitted!
Go anywhere ability oft road. Don't kid yourself
Enough power to tow a caravan if I want to be a snail. This is just a silly comment Defenders are towing vehicles.
Can actually steer round corners and follow the road ahead. We have a steering wheel too
Doesn't have any water leaks. Check your HG
Looks smart and is presentable. Personal opinion, more Defenders on the road so public opinion would disagree
Doors that dun't fall oft. You muddled this up, YOUR doors fall off
Comfortable on long journeys. I find my Defender as comfortable as my other vehicles.

Up yours tratterers. :p :bounce:

Anyway, if I was going to buy a vehicle for the traits the Freelander supplies, I'd buy a Disco or Rangie.

the defender is an agricultural vehicle - why do some people use them as everyday vehicles?

the freelander is the perfect everyday car with excellent off-road ability

the disco sits inbetween the defender and the freelander, if you work on a farm have a defender, if you want a car with excellent off-road ability have a freelander, why have a disco?
