So you leave the metal on some of them? Or you just ain't got around to taking that bit off?
no matter!
OK
I am convinced, obviously very strong and tough.
Did you need to take the weight into consideration when buiding the rest of it?
I have no need right now but i need to find a supplier near me.

Thanks for showing us all this.:):):)

Having a coffee then im going back out, im in 2 minds whether to put the boards through the planner or sand them once they
are buttoned down. I do like all the imperfections which shows up once oiled.
We have a refectory table cut from one piece of elm. It it huge and heavy but a fabulous thing. It's in the kitchen in frogland otherwise I would be able to take a pic of the imperfection to be seen at one end. It just adds character, the king won't be dining off it! And it don't need oil to show it up! If you wanted to get rid of it you'd have to shorten the table by about 4 feet. Not going to happen.
If they were going to be house floor boards I'd do it as then less likely to give anyone splinters etc also more even so less likely to cause a trip. But where they are? Not really unless you are going to be putting stuff on them that could get caught, scratched etc.

I was thinking of getting a funeral plan in the new year

Apparently the local tip (refuge centre technical term). They're offering a reasonable package as part of the local council rates. The body will be bagged in a purple heavy duty bin bag, with a free Tree air freshener of the deceased choice. On collection days a receipt for the body. A plant pot and flower in the deceased mulch remains will be posted via Royal Mail 2nd class stamp service.
Rather nice.🥳

Having discovered, when I was executor for my father's will, that the only thing that CAN be paid for out of the estate before probate, is the funeral, all these adverts for funeral plans totally flip me off.
All you have to do is have an arrangement with the funeral home and the deceased's bank, before they pop off and no need for any of this.
All this "I'm so worried about my poor family having to shell out all this dosh when I go."
Pffffft. Absolutely stinks.

In my case we were luckier than most as the army, or the army pensions people, paid for it, as they felt his death was in part due to what happened to him during the war, i.e. medical negligence.

Got a wee garden project for my neebs, she wants an anchor that stands up so I found some chain & ive got a few old anchors

Morning. Cold here & bort a load of gas yesterday to make sure we don't run out.

Late night after a trawl round DIY shops due to shutting early today, not open 1 Jan, need stuff for Thu.

Got some metal doors amongst other things.View attachment 332512
I use Bauhaus for a lot of things you know you can get every thing you need and the quality is good 👍

I'll stick a frozen pizza in so you have something to eat when you get there.

I said to my other half when I pass and get cremated full me with popcorn kernels 😂
I see the TV advertising daily push funeral plans or life insurance as second nature. Makes you wonder why and are Americans have this as more obvious.
I'd be interested what next for making death easier. I have a feeling this has been done before, like a former cult leader in charge of a funeral plan. While Ad men see this as a money winner without come backs. Soften the impression of death and more people will go for it. 😵‍💫
