Mother hippo does somefink about not washing on certain days or yer wash a life away. Burreye dun't know which days.Morning folks, resembled Bob Fleming from the fast show last night.
Another shawl started so it will give me an excuse to rest up.
Does anyone else have the weird tradition of making sure there is no laundry that is dirty in the house for new years? I didn't empty my washing pile one year and it was the year that was horrific for me.
So you are flooring upstairs with scaffold planks?
Well there's a novelty!!
Pics or it never happened!

Yup the floor will be done in scaffold planks, ive done a few floors with them using a floor sander then finish with linseed oil.
I done a local pub a few years ago & they look outstanding when they are finished. Pics will follow.

Never heard of that one... not exactly superstitious but there are one or two 'procedures'... Mrs thinks its OCD and a friend bigs it up but she's covering for the fact that she really is OCD....Does anyone else have the weird tradition of making sure there is no laundry that is dirty in the house for new years? Thats sounds very cool. Ive got a small table to do for a camper van. Im looking for old car badges then I'll do a clear resin pour.I remember a bar top in Luton or Dunstable made from old pennies
Yes, I like doing that sort of thing. As a way of buying timber, they're actually pretty good value. Thicker than standard floorboarding, so they add a bit of structural rigidity too. If you can get 'unbanded' ones you don't even have to mess about talking the metalwork off. Not just floors either. Mantelpieces, compost bins, sheds, henhouses, bridge decks. I like making things out of scaffolding planks.
I take it you rip the metal bits off the ends first?Yup the floor will be done in scaffold planks, ive done a few floors with them using a floor sander then finish with linseed oil.
