Today I have been mostly repairing my front lawn. After being devastated by chafer grubs a few years ago and being abused as an overflow car park it was in a sorry state. De-weeded it last week and raked the moss out (electric rake thing used) and spiked with a fork, and fertilizer applied. Final electric rake today followed by over-seeding, hand raking and covering with anti spuggie netting, I am now pooped and enjoying a few cans. Bird scarer was supposed to be a black cat but owing to a lack of black paint and a shortage of graphic art in the tool box, it is a white doggie.

Looks like Banksy has visited and taken inspiration from me artwork

For the last 4 days eye has bin feeding me squirrel ootside. He see's me int kitchen from the fence or me garage and climbs down. Or attracts me attendtion by running up n down me fence which makes a banging noise. Eye has seen him do this then look over his shoulder while arf way up to spot me. He must realise the bang attracts me. Eye then go ootside me kitchen door and drop a nut 6 to 8 foot in front of me and he comes to gerrit. Some days he returns more often than others. He's still nervous but more willing to come closer when a nut is dropped. Sometimes eye go oot and he's on me fence or garage watching me. Dun't always come down. Few minutes later he's down. Have seen him from me window peeping round the corner to see if eye is by me door. When he picks up the nut he repositions it in his mouth then hops oft wivvit.

Earlier this year sainsberrys gave me figures for last years chopping. 48 occasions collecting 18,248 point. A point is worf arf a pee. Eye were no 1 in my chop for buying shreddies 910gm box. :) Up yours lim pics. Me top 3 buys were grapes, milk and tomatoes. Bort 2,120 portions of fruit and vegerbles. 1,341 fruit and 779 veg. They count a portion as 80 grams. Frozen, tinned or fresh.

Will be interesting to see this years figures in comparison. After seeing the doctor last year and looking up elfy fings eye eat more fruit now. Cut down on grapes as they is smaller and dun't taste nice.

Grapes are luverly with some Brie and crackers.
Even betterer wiv wine as well ;)
Eye likes normal chedda cheese but dun't buy it assits full of fat. Sainsberrys grapes vary in taste. The biggerer normal size ones which have a sort of frosted look are nice and sweet. The shiny ones ain't sweet. Same for the small ones. Hence rarely buying them now. No more than 4 packs this year because they taste orrible.

Look out for the ‘taste the difference’ red grapes there… red candy or vitoria 😉

Have to confess I don't often barbecue.
But recently I did some kebab things that W put together and they were lush.
Tonite I did slices of aubergine and some Mexican style spare ribs together with my usual fillet steak.
I was worried that I would have to cook the ribs right through until I espied on the pack that they was pre-cooked and just marinaded.
W who eats with her eyes and her emotions rather than her taste buds and her logical brain, plus hates anything "burnt" and cannot tell the diff tween burnt and caramelised, decided she didn't want any ribs as they would be "fatty" and she doesn't do "fatty" unless she herself has some fancy way of doing it.
I pointed out that as they were precooked there wouldn't be any fat.
Cut no ice.
So I cooked 'em and they weren't burnt, they weren't fatty, they were fabbo!
But no she couldn't be convinced to even try one. Such a shame. So I got outside of 8 ribs, one fillet steak, the aubergine (smallish) plus my usual sautéd veg, i.e. shallot, courgette, mushrooms cherry tomatoes, with oregano and garlic.

She had cold meat and chips.
