About ten years ago I was reconditioning a motor for one of me bikes and fitted new con rod bolts as part of the build. Used aftermarket bolts as originals had been out of production for about fifty years. Some weeks later I noticed one of the bolts had failed in tension so had to tear the motor down again, lucky to have spotted it before finishing the build. And replaced the bolts with ARP bolts made in the You Ess of Ay. This weekend I have been searching for another set of those bolts for another motor, none to be found anywhere in the uk, but managed to find one set in the USA. Seems they are on back order worldwide for the particular ones I want. So had to buy them. They are on the way, should see them drop onto the doormat in about a month.

Many thks , to be honest don’t have to voice played even when I’ve been using my Tom tom so wouldn’t worry me

Also noticed that many double din satnavs either have no CD or have to link it to ur phone

Would indeed prefer a standalone double din but assume it costs a lot more

Thks again

The local advertiser said loch Lomond has a new project of releasing wolves on the shores & working on a breading
program as they done with beavers 🤣 🤣 I was howling when I read it. 🤣🤣
Went extinct for a reason in the UK thay travel vast distances and need uninhabited human free areas. I suppose the next thing will be the brown bear.then the mountain lion 😯😯

We listen to our wolves and jackals every night :) .

They love to wind up the village dogs:). Or are they just chatting like we do here;).
When we had our dog he would join in occasionally.

...that the wallpapering is completed. Hurrah! :D
Just got to remount the radiator. :)
The lady of the house put the first coat of the paint on the window-wall and it now looks like all the other walls.
One more coat on it tomorrow and we will put the room back together furniture-wise. :)

We are both delighted with the results. :D

Well done Mate, and Mrs C!
You must be well chuffed!
Looks great! :vb-banana: :vb-banana: :vb-banana:

Arternoon all!
Got the TomTom to download and install the new map.
Managed it by going via a bit of a back door, the TomTom My Drive Connect thingy I had already on my pooter instead of going in via the website. It actually worked more or less first time, and like it used to. It still went to the website but somehow it just seemed to be more willing to recognise that I was entitled to a free refresh thingy and put that up rather than trying to make me buy one.
@gstuart if you want to try this and you have lost the original prog thing to do this, with your old TomTom, message me with your email and I'll try to send it to you as an attached doc.

It is no longer April Fools so yes, you are reading right this is me trying to help others with "tech".
I must have a lie down as I feel a bit faint!

More packing of cars to do but it is going fine.
Have a good one peeps!
:):):):)

Hi mate

Bless u and that would be amazing plse , will send my email over to u

Just took some pics of the model that I have and indeed would be a great shame as it’s worked perfectly

I did install a 2GB SD card but wondering how I could get a program onto this, have my iPad and MacBook but alas doesn’t have a CD reader nor a SD slot like u useto on window laptops

Unless I could get a SD reader that would plug into the MacBook laptop

Thks so much once again

What an idiot I am, looked on the side of the MacBook and has a Sd slot , DOH

Will see how the Mac SD cards compare to the Tom Tom Sd as, think there was a 2Gb limit on the satnav

CD DVD sat nav digital and analogue radio can plug your smart phone in hands free touch screen Bluetooth reverse camera only had it a few years and still learning how to use it so much stuff in it I keep finding new Windows but the sat nav is verry good if jams or accidents are ahead give you alternative but I also have a Tom Tom you never know 😣
