If you think he'd just clam up if you told him you were recording it, then I'd do it secretly and worry about the ins and outs of it later.

Fk it I taped it anyway an nailed him big time, admitted everything & promised all the cash back
I wont say wot I said, he will sell his car, tools bla bla promised me the world im getting a payment
plan drawn up for him to sign. Plus all the cash from the outstanding jobs is going to me, he has a subaru wrx project he bought for 2500 off one of my mates I will take that too at cost price I can get 5k for it. He was chalk white.
Once he's signed it then I will tell him if he misses a payment im selling the dept to my gangster mates in Glasgow.

Took the misses motor for its mot at 5pm was a pass too but it needs 2 front shox tis very bouncy.

Although you can't say everything is finished in that dept. it has at least now all come out in the open and he is aware of what s^^t he has got himself into. Nothing he bought seems to justify his actions so it really was just greed - living beyond his means. Having cleared the air I hope things can at least now get back on track although your trust can never be regained.

Yes I totally agree there is no trust any more that horse has bolted. Silly chap as he had a good thing
going and I brought him into my circle of friends, now most of them know about whats been going on and once all this gets out no one will entertain him round these parts.
