You are really humane. Not sure I would be like this. Mind you we feed our dogs indoors.Lucky you, it is dark, dismal and wet 'ere'.
I have just looked out to see the wee one under his hedge surrounded by a bunch of seven threatening magpies moving in on him. I called him in and they hopped it. I caught them scaring him off his dinner last week and then eating it. If I hadn't seen it I would have believed he had eaten his dinner. This cannot go on - the magpies will have to be exterminated. The trouble is, they have got a nest in one of my pine trees and do seem to hang around because of that even though they are all adults now, the family ties seem to be very strong. The tree is big and the nest is high up so that will need a visit by the Tree surgeons - £££'s - if I am to really solve the problem.
Am I getting the wrong end of the stick?
