no been a bit naughty and spent money i shouldnt have on tools, im useing all the 1/2 sockets i got (not many but most need are there), i got a 3ft breaker bar, i bort an electric impact driver and a welder, im not to far away now, wen i got that pulley and damper off its only the cambelt itself then back together again, noticed another problem, the waterpump bolt didnt actually undo, the caseing split where the bolt goes and released the presure.Blimey Jamie, you're in the wars with your motor! What is it with you and stuck Bolts? Are you using big fu** off sockets with super sized impact drivers and bloody great club hammer or are you still using a vauxhall cavalier 3/8 socket set with a small pursuader? If you need extra kit I have a few bits and pieces that might be of use so just shout and I'll come down if I can be of use. In any case its sometimes less irritating when two fail then it is with just ones self!
Talking about failing... Jai came over this morning to help with the xfer box... completre failure, couldn't get them to mate together and ended up naffing the input seal completely! Gonna have a retry with all the gearbox mounts stripped off the gearbox and chassis out of the way (thanks Kai).
OK Onward... ever upward

looks like a fun day out Monday
think randy vegas took us down that lane with the big hole.Is the rest of the lane surfaced?
no the bolt is out but only because the case split, studying the bolt there are no thread marks on 75% of the bolt so where the case cracked it was just letting it slide out not unoing off the thread. So the water pump retaining bolt is still securely fixed in t block?
i cant afford to replace the caseing, i mean the caseing behind the cam cover and everything, could i not have the crack welded and thap a bigger thread.Jamie, I would replace the casing If I were you. Its a pain but easier now than waiting a few months and stripping the lot again. Jai
