I have a freshly polished blue L reg 5dr with a 'token gold' front right alloy, probably with 2 salad dodgers in the front and two lads in the back. CB on ch6. Will be nearer 11 than 10 i think. I'm going to be trying out a camera mount with an old 80s handycam (just in case it goes horribly wrong), which should be interesting.

Saw Gibbo-phil's Landy as he drove past me in Dunstable as he was heading towards Toternhoe today. Looked very nice indeed.

Well it didn't go too well for us when we got there, sorry never caught up with you Mr V. Thanks to Jai again and his mate and if by chance the guys that helped too read this, thanks. It seems I'm on a very, very steep learning curve here!!

Blimey Screwy you don't do things in halves do you! Still the CV joint shouldn't be too bad if thats the problem, drive shaft would be a bit of a nuisance but not the end of the world, the diff might be a bit more serious though.

However if thismakes you feel any better... Gibbo Phil and meself managed to get the transfer box out of the disco today. A slight jacking and suspension manoever and a lot of jiggling (you know how we all like a jiggle every now and then ;))

Anyhow one bleedin great big hole left where something should be... and just out of curiousity we decided to open up the old box and take a look.

Now I don't know much about transfer boxes but I would wager that this is not supposed to be there!

A slightly cleaner image: I think this might be the remains of the front bearing that got mashed. I guess cleaning it out with petrol was never gonna be enough!

If I had a clue how to fix it and what to do it would be good, instead it's off for an MOT tomorrow, so I'll end up having to pay to get it sorted. (Mind you it may be for the best) LOL

Think I would be tempted to rip it apart and see what's what. Sounds like you could be committing to spending a ****load of money. I was quoted £120 just for a couple of whell bearings and it sounds like you gonna need a little more than that!

Hi Chris you going to be back on the road with the Disco soon, Just got the bulk of the work done down the workshop, so hope to get up your way again soon and do some lanes.

To be sure - Whaddon was pretty wet today.

And that pic was before I got lost my front plate, and got grounded on a boulder, and managed to shear off the towbar bolts. (I hated that towbar anyway... it'smoor of an anchor than a plough.

Hi Kris... long time no see!

I am hoping to have the disco back on the lanes soon. Maybe not in time for the 7th but who knows! Transfer box is goin in tuesday or wednesday (hopefully tuesday) but even then I need to get ready for the mot. New track rod ends andI would like to take a look at the wheel bearings. Given that I m moving next weekend I may have to delay the return to the road for a week or two.

Shogub's mot is tomorrow, all the owrk has been done and then some so I am hopeful if a little apprehensive!

aye, very wet indeed. ahve broken the disco too, the water came in through the door handles it was that high on the passenger side and filled up to the bottom of the dash :)
got it home ok and it drove fine later on, but its dead now....
suspect the alarm/immobiliser is knacked
