I would have thought so... I really need to get some practice in recovery techniques ;)

If we go to ashwell I'm sure you will be recovered enough to get the hang of it! LOL

Hey to all the guys today thanks for a good show. Cheers Spyderman for the lift. I'm just glad we found all the faults before they caused any problems. Jai

ryder i was told you were an eggpert at getting recovered !!!:D :D

I started with a shogun... drove it, got a little bit stuck with it a few times. (major definitely stuck). I finally agreed with every one else on this forum... there's nothing better than a landy... so now my landy comes off roading or laning. The shogun avatar reminds me of what it was that started us out!

Hi everyone, had a really good weekend at the L2B Land Rover weekend. Did the whole camping out at Crystal palace and run to Brighton today. Got to Brighton and i saw some people i know from the Burnham 4x4 club so i was able to get parked up with them. They were 2 people short for the tug a Landy competition so me and Rory got stuck in and we came away with the silver medal. Sophie entered the kids pull and they got the bronze, so i'm well pleased. Will get some pictures sorted out.

Say, slight subject change -

has anyone heard from the other guys recently? Not seen DB or 99Claydond on here for a while. I saw Glenn321 and Leonberger the other week, and we saw Kris300TDI at the pub. Anybody know anything?

me, glenn, dan, db and co were out the other night ;) ... and my disco is done now ..... well till the next upgrade :>

just purchased through good old ebay a 91 j plate classic range rover with lpg, bog standard 130k on clock and all solid (apparently) places to check are normail chasis, floors etc etc and bott for rust, are there any other obvious things, check for overheating, nasty noises errr,
will obviously make sure that it has a rusty tailgate and sagging headlining.
other advice greatly received, not sure what LPG conversion it has but has to be a bonus for everyday use,
cheers

would A non landy be allowed to tagg along to wales always wanted to do lanes up that way

Off course your welcom mate, and as for recovery set of mud tyres and its all down to the driver from then on and as it goes i recon u can drive buddie. will be up for it i no few good river crossings up there may need to get a snorkal mate. :D

Disco52, blimey you didn't hang about. Kev is yor man for RR Classics. His is standard apart from Tyres, raised intake and steering guard. As a passenger you obviously know what it was capable of yesterday.

Nice one!

I was worried for a moment then when you mentioned LPG tanks, usually they are hung low under the sills. But no its good, Nice one!

I do hope those idiots with the dumper tyes didn't put you off. These people are the ones that give us all and the sport a bad name. The only resposible thing they did was doing it there and not on a Greenlane or public road.

Using wire cable for towing and snatching is a no! no! No recovery points is bad! Using strops to snatch is a no! no! Just tying them together is driving into each other destroying the vehicles makes me mad! The bit that really got me was he had his kids in the back of the mota while snatching with the strop attached to his mates bullbar that was blatently about to fall off.showing disregard for his kids safety and those around him Rant over. Jai

Hey all , Its been a crazy at work , i cant keep up lol .. way too much going on .... Glad your all having fun ...

 Had a bad karma day on Sunday , I was on the inside lane on the A406 heading towards Wembly ,, Of course its ****ing it down and i could just make out the way ahead .. So i get to a flooded section and carry on as you would do .. To my horror there a small grey 4 door car along side going at the same speed as me to which im showering with water as if it was a jet wash comming off my tyres .. There in the middle lane and as i slow down in order for me to stop psraing them i see a face appear totally drenched and the wave was at there window height , Yes they had the bloody windows down ... I did my best in saying sorry but i also couldnt stop laughing at the sight .. I didnt see them along side me ... Oh well Bad karma i guess for the next year lol ...

Wales i hear people say ... And Ashwell lol ..

All is good now i got work todo TC all ..
