Phil, glad to hear it doesn't sound too bad. Might be worth taking the sump guard off and having a good look though. It might even be worth dropping the sump and making sure there's no gunge/sludge or metal bits (OMG lets hope not) in the bottom. Spydermans photos are great, we had a look at them while we were waiting.

yeah the recovery bloke was saying they have a common problem with that he said bout dropping the sump and by the pick up there is a gauze and that blocks up.

check the pressure relief valve, its easier than dropping the sump, mine used to stick open for fun.

Can't believe that guy in the Disco that I recovered. Fitted with tractor tyres, so he's obviously seriously into off roading, yet he had no recovery points and didn't have a proper tow rope.:eek::eek:

Yeah I'm with you on that one. Still was funny watching his mate first ram him then pull the nudge bars off. If ever there was a demonstation of why you need recovery points that was it me thinks.

nice one, really good to meet you all too and thanks for all the advice and info, think i enjoyed the recoveries as much as the actual driving :) ..
on ebay at the moment looking at what i can get for not much money, as i think i got of lucky not bending anything on mine, jetwashed it again when i got indoors seeing as it it belongs to he finance company technically!
please let me know when you guys are on some lanes or whaddon etc again and i may have my new toy

I didn't take any pictures of it. Too busy rescuing him, then dealing with my oil leak. It was a joke though, his mate tied a rope around the top of his bull bar, which promptly was pulled off, not before driving into it and smashing the headlights. I stayed well out of it, thankfully.
