feck.........bastid............. The seats are no good for Si. They don't act like a gearbox or roofrack and his arse is way too big to get heated by them.

jai, I know what you mean about the engine, this one is miles slower than the 2.25 before. I know it's going to be good when it's sorted. I can't live with it how it is, it's terrible. Will find out how good tomorrow night when it's done, hopefully.

I wanna try and get to santa pod and ashwell before they close but after I get this poxy diff lock to unlock on corners! Its really bugging of now Jai

Jai, they didn't really look at it today, Chris wasn't there. He'll sort it tomorrow. We've got 3 weeks before they close. Have you done your wheel bearings yet?
Santa Pod is the critical one, I don't think Ashwell closes for the winter. I'll check the status of Santa Pod, with all of the rain it might be shut already.

ok cool! My wheel bearings are on their way from paddocks as is stuff to change the drop arm to a later type. Will have to get my arse into gear and help andy make an axle spreader then we can whip out the rear diff and sort it out. Need to get it ready for its mot end of the month.

Have been trying to get insurance all day that includes engine swap and winch etc pain in the backside i can tell ya! Cant imagine the prices they would want if i had any points or claims against me Jai

Try Footman James for insurance.

Adrian flux are good on mods aswell. All mine are listed and it didnt change the premium.

i got it down to £570 quid with breakdown recovery footman james dont like my age and adrian flux wanted nearly 800 quid before Jai

An update on the Spydiemobile. I took it to the Diesel specialist recommended by Jai, this morning. It's booked in with them for tomorrow to get the engine sorted. They seemed to think it should be a straightforward job, after all almost every part of it is new, after the rebuild by DB.
If all goes to plan, I'm going to give it a bit of a test on Saturday. Was thinking Ashwell or Santa Pod. I want something that will really stretch it. Anybody fancy coming along?
