I've just gone for the whole toot... gearbox, transfer box, clutch and flywheel.... the work was done by one of their external fitters(Autoland 4x4)... excellent service, plus there's warranty on the parts... the drive home was much quieter, feels like new :-) Just looking for the best 0%...

Check out Ashcroft Transmissions on-line... They upgraded my transfer box from 1:4 up to 1:22 (Disco spec)... cruises much quieter.

I was getting a steady 33mpg in my 90 TD5.... then switched to constantly using Shell fuel, and mpg went up to 35mpg! Added Millers snake oil, to clean the fuel system, after possible diesel bug causing fuel pump failure... this bumped mpg up to 37mpg!! I record my fuel, as I have to zero at...

My alarm is suspect too... led on dash constantly glows, which is irritating, and to my mind an indication of a fault that could immobilise me without notice! There's a fuse behind the dash that I have removed... but still led glows I did a search on here and someone has suggested dry solder...

We just got a couple of these new Pumas at work, and the shepherd couldn't fit in the single cab!... he got the managers double cab as a result! They are cramped though.

The best part of this method, as I found out, is you can go back to van sides when you're fed up with the windows rattling and leaking!!
