Put the rear axle back in after having a new diff pan fitted .... well the casing at least, not having 2 helpers on hand to fit it fully assembled. First I tried it with the springs on, but struggled with getting the bottom links lined up, then it dawned on me there was enough movement in them to get the springs in uncompressed, so popped the bolts in with it on its back, then pivoted the case to connect with the top link ball joint, then shoved the springs in.

Removed all the carpets due to water ingress, saturated!!!

Found a rust hole in the bulkhead just under the servo which is odd, however the rest of the floor pan is mint.. #

Bought a new flexplate and a few other things to hopefully get the old D2 back on the road.

Started fitting new 50mm arches this weekend! Due to running -32mm ET wheels i have cut the arches back....but the standard 50mm kit have worked fine. Have got rocksliders going on too which should tidy it a bit at the bottom!

No not yet finishing the archs today then putting wheels on tomorrow. This is a pic of the wheel on so i knew how much i had to trim back.

Yes hopefully!!! On question i have got for the next Mod which is to swap the transfer box with one that has the CDL fitted. The question i have is can you leave the traction control system working as well as having the CDL for when you need it?

Yea it will be fine. I'm looking at buying the cdl conversion kit from ashcroft. It can be fitted from underneath without removing the transfer box apparently

Thats interesting, i was planning on calling them on Tuesday about the linkage part. Also there is a cable you need to connect apparently so the TC speaks to the Diff? I have managed to source a transfer box complete with diff from a discovery breaker.

Took delivery of tuff rok steering guard and Foxwell nt530 today.

guard is still in the box and will be fitted at the weekend, opened up and tried to setup the foxwell but failed at the first hurdle as my work laptop IT security won’t let me download the install file !
