Changed the oil in both diffs...

Then tried to put the oil filled milk bottles from the recycling bin into a full spectrum of black and browns in order on the garden wall...

Mrs BN wasn’t impressed, I thought it was art...

Where is the picture evidence of this artwork??

Cheers
Well - obviously for sale at an incredible price at a local boutique gallery. I'm sure @BravoNovember couldn't possibly allow pictures to be posted online, as it would reduce the potential sale value....

Meanwhile - I have fitted the stupidly expensive bit of foam called a pollen filter, and a replacement seat belt pre-tensioner to cure my SRS light.....

I had a few spare hours today I forgot how awkward the top bellhousing nuts were to remove.....

Well I said to Mrs BN that they weren’t oil stains on the block paved driveway, it was a Jackson pollock recreation then showed her the milk bottles I’d lined up...

It’s fecking cold in the back of the disco and the rain is stopping me from sleeping right now. I’ll see if I can take a pic in the morning...

Had a rather annoying weekend!
Bought some new mud flap brackets/mount's as my driver side was rusted away to nothing and was rattling away when driving

So I Purchased some new stainless steel ones from rock shock

Drilled all the old rivets out ready to fit the new ones

The rivets I had in the shed was to small
So i Purchased some from the local DIY store and they wouldn't do the trick as they was too long
I then Bought some more from screwfix but when they compressed they didn't go wide enough to secure them.

The holes was to big from the previous rivets

So I will need some nuts and bolts. Which I thought to myself before I started, I should bolt them in. But I thought I would be fancy and rivet them in. FAIL!

While I had the car jacked up I thought I would chuck some new bump stops on it which certainly was needed.

Got myself a new toy "DeWalt impact wrench" why didn't I buy one of those sooner undoing bolts has never been easier, specially the old bump stops as I think they was the original ones on the car. 174k
Like a knife through butter

New clutch (etc.)...Oh I'm very pleased, she's driving beautifully. + new clock bulb, new side repeaters. The little things just add to my feeling of chuftness.
Didn't get rid of that intermittent fan-belt squeal though...what the Hell's causing it I don't know?

1st job rear disc's & pads on the D2 then got a new mot for it :D
Then...…. fish n chips by the sea on the on the way home:D
2nd round...….I removed the gearbox out the D1 tonight, I managed to get loads of clearance to pull it out ...…….

Removed and replaced one of the offending articles that was making my truck sound like a cage of angry cockatiels when I was driving...
Still got one angry bird in there, probs the idler, that felt a bit crunchy, one for later...

Changed upper and lower ball joints both sides , now steering is a bit heavy, also drained and replaced diff oil. Ball joints were a right bugger. Replaced leaking gearbox sump cover, leak occurred after from prop uj let go last summer and mullered underneath, all running sweet now and no leaks anywhere, inc sunroofs.
Now to sort out why the steering is heavy.

Yesterday I took the Disco for it's first Controle Technique, the French MOT test which it passed and today I got it into the French registration system, albeit on temporary plates, but who cares, it's now fully legal here!
