Cheers Sue.

You know something, the ford I messed up looked smaller and less fast flowing .. it just looked like a fairly normal ford!

Can't wait to get out again and see you all .. I know it's good fun fettling my new Defender, but it's not the same as driving .. ;)

I know, its ages since I saw you, but not long till the lakes.

Dont you want to join 200, Paul and TimandMick doing Hollingsclough :D The video they are looking at has you in it :D:D

I would, but stuff needs sorting .. lack of time and money means I'm making doing and mending (fettling!) a lot more than buying and fitting .. I know it doesn't look it with the bits I just fitted, but they were bought with the Disco insurance money, the Defender wasn't, and wasn't an expected expense!

Like the brake pipe. Turns out I have about 4' pipe left, I need 6' .. only one fitting and I need two .. some some spending is necessary tomorrow, but getting it ready, and hopefully reliably ready, means there's no play money available for diesel etc .. ;)

Paul I've got rolls of brake pipe n bags of ends come make it at mine 8-30/5-30 not a problem at all mate

Cheers mate, not sure of proper length till tomorrow though, it was so dark I came in .. :)

I'll give you a call .. ;)

Planning next weekend now.

Pub meet at the Junction at Baildon on Saturday night, 8pm OK for anyone who is coming????

Sunday PM checking out new local lanes. Will involve walking down them first  I suggest two drivers to a vehicle then you dont have to walk back up them. They are quite steep. No idea if they will be drive able, we will see :D:D

Will put a few other local lanes in the trip in case they aren't

Who want to do Dob Park ford :D:D:D:D

And I dont know about workshop meets, we will have to ask Neil about that

For those without Facebook :D It says

I will be attending the Bradford Local Access Forum tomorrow evening with your other two representatives - 3 Equestrian reps in total - it's a statutory body and should help to keep horse riding as a recognised recreational activity on the agenda.
Hopefully by working with the council and alongside other recognised bodies - Ramblers/Cyclists/Landowners/Tenants and countryside interest groups we can make sure that we aren't getting hoofed off the map! No doubt there will be a great deal of talk about budget cuts - so ideas from you - the users about how we can help - with routine clearance, trimming back will be most welcome. We already support the ROW department with research and archive information regarding historic roads and paths. The Ramblers are advocating that their members carry secateurs - a great idea - but probably not heavy duty enough for the bridleways I would like to liberate!!!

Good article in the latest GLASS mag. Written by one of the area reps, who has managed to join his local access forum. It seems that he did encounter some co-operation with and from other user groups, once they had overcome their initial hostility.

LOL, I should have read it then, I gave it to Neil :D

I'm guessing that not having a local rep will mean we aren't represented though :(

Another volunteering opportunity?:D It would actually be interesting to be on the forum, as well as valuable to the laning cause.
Did you read the sheet about NERC2?

Dont you think you live a bit far away :eek::eek:

And yes I have read it, I am collecting evidence of the lanes we do, dont know if it will do any good though.

The TRF seem much more active than the 4x4 folk

Historically I think that has been the case, but I think GLASS have got it together a bit more this time.
My reading of it was that they are playing a waiting game, as there is currently no threat in the dereg bill. Fear seems to be that antis will introduce anti vehicle amendments at a late stage in the proceedings, once the threat is thought to have passed.
