I can believe that,my 1996 Clio in Furteventura has been shedding it's lacquer for years. It'll have non left by the time I get a chance to return.

It will have melted too Alan in to a big blob seeing as most of it is plastic. LOL

Previous owner was JLR. Ex- management pool car. 3 yrs old & only 7 k on clock when I bought it off a main dealer. Apparently it’s a known problem caused by sunlight!

Tata is dragging Range Rover to the bottom of the motoring pile Paintwork shouldn't even be faded at 7yr old, let alone peeling. If it wasn't for the fact of other issues coming to light, this alone would be enough to put me off changing to the L405. So sad to see such a wonderful idea , started with the Classic brought to this.
At least she is now getting some love. How long until you get her back?

It will be mint when your done buddy. Glad to see another fellow L405 owner showing his Rangie some love. Mine is and always has been garaged so most likely explains her immaculate condition and the main reason i bought her. JLR pool vehicles do get ragged but they also get sorted out prior to disposal in to the trade. My mate is a exec @ AML and their pool cars get hammered ( so they should ) and then end up at a selected main dealer looking like new again. Same with any hire car. It don't belong to the individual driving it so they will indeed rag it. LOL.

Its a long story but I had all kinds of issues with it when first picked it up even though it had supposedly been through JLR much hyped pre- sales check up. Rear wheel alignment so far out they had to drop rear subframe to correct it. A year later it failed MOT on tyres & turned out directional tyres on front were wrong way round! I kicked off at main dealers & with JLR main office. I’ve got a free MOT for as long as I keep the car & got £300 to take my wife away for a night and a dinner.

Main dealers ( stealers ) just cannot be trusted these days which is why i avoid them like covid 19. LOL

I had a definite b*tch. I've always named my cars and she was named Christine, after the killer car. She just kept trying to kill me. So much so that my Dad actually said , "ok no more. It's bad enough the job you chose, but I'm not having your car trying too". He then told me I was taking his car back down south to work, whilst he sold Christine.

She was a nice 7series BMW and had cost me a few pennies.

Glad I was only in the NAAFI so had to kept neutral.
Had my father flying in the Lancasters in WW11 and an uncle who was in a red cap in war then out far east. He was a sergeant and him and 6 constables fought off a native uprising and was shot 6times. As kids we loved to look at the bullet scars. He won a shed load of medals for it so like I said until someone does me wrong I can't take sides

Once had a boss who drove one through a ford and blew the engine. Best thing he owned a Classic so why he didn't use that I'll never know
