Next time you should locate the tea lady at the front :)
Next time the tea lady wants a faster boiling water system :)

The wife were hovering about - she told me to be polite an' all - besides I was still in shock - she'd just had the kids and her some hoodies made and got me 2 shirts - cost me about an undred sheets all told - came right outta my slush fund for bits so I was a bit stunned - she just disarmingly said have you got a few quid for a hoodie for the boy so I foolishly pulled out me wad and she promptly relieved me of it - bitch!

That said I'm more than happy with me shirts and the boy looks tidy in his roving lands hoodie

I know exactly what you mean! No matter how 'out of the way' I put my Disco in the supermarket car parks, it ALWAYS attracts someone to park close to it - even when the rest of the car park is almost empty.

Do you think LR use a special kind of 'attraction' paint ???????

I do it all the time, park next to a nicer landy, in the hope someone on the rob knows the difference. Today I parked next to a red county and the blonde owner came back and caught me lookin over, as she took her sweater off, admiring her big tyres, nearly went for some shopping:eek:

You didn't stop and chat to me by my D3 for a while did you? Spoke to a chap who had just spent all his fun money on clothes for his kids...

You needs a fire or some gas gear - mebbe's next year if gas and thats allowed - youse may be able to have a borrow of the gear from our scout group. Big arsed gas burners with equally tidy sized kettle/boily things.

That were me. shouldn't really complain - she'd have hit me harder on a saturday down in Cardiff shopping, so its all swings and roundabouts.

She's agreed to me having a rear ladder with square rungs mind - so thats a result, there's a bloke on ebay knocks 'em out for about 55 quid delivered.

Ah, well, nice to meet you an all that. :)

Spoke to quite a few people on and off over the weekend, figured if they were hanging around I'd offer them a cuppa.........very few lasted long enough for the kettle to actually boil

Likewise wi' yer big posh disco!

Hopefully I'll have a nice big posh disco next tuesday when my 300tdi is in for the recall thing on the rear prop donut. Knowing my luck though it'll be some scabby fiesta and the bloody donut won't be part of the recall bunch. :boom:

I'm hoping that they'll take pity on me and do it anyways if its not. Thing is I don't know the history of the donut as I've on had the disco just under a year, so I thought why not get it checked.

Do I really want to trust stratstone cardiff with my landy - it'll probably be the only one thats been offroad in their workshop!!

Back on thread - you all seemed a jolly bunch - just gutted I missed all the ginger ringer kerfuffle!!

Do we know if Freddy got back with all four wheels?:bolt:

All four wheels in place and lot of mud inside and out and a tired body and a big grin all present and accounted for.

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend/food/cake/beer/banter and the LZ fettlin' crew.
I was pretty knackered by sunday afternoon and I wasn't going to bother with the off road course, but I'm really glad I did. I've only had me landy less than a year and not done any off road stuff, I done some laning and muddy routes on the Plains but not loads.
When I went to get my ticket they asked me what route I wanted to do so I said red, to which they said really? (cos it still looks straight and shiny). So that make me wonder what I was in for. So off we went (I had Pikey as ballast) as you drive in to the course you go over a few logs just to rattle ur teeth a bit and then you get to the first point to choose red or green route and the marshall stops us asks if we a sure we want to go red? The water is a lot deeper today he says. So now I'm really wondering, do I want to go red? ....... Yerr feck it. Yes the water was deep, ask pikey he was balls deep :D got mud over the seat. There was a few good bit of slippy drops twists and turns. There was one bit a steep slippery ascent that I had to have a couple of runs at to get up it, but that was my lack of right boot and i'm sure mud tyres would have been better, still got there in the end. I haven't had a look underneath yet but on the rock section something got a good whack.. All in all great fun and got my heart rate up a few times and a bit hot under the collar.
