Should i go for a 300tdi or v8? Is there much difference in mpg?

Hello again thanks for all of your helpfull advise before and hopefully i will get some more now! ive looked at a nice v8 which sounds fantastic but is the mpg going to be really scarey? i will probably only do approx 5 thou a year as i have a works van all the tdi 's ive seen seem to be mega milage and tatty! any advice will be appreciated

v8 your looking at between 10 - 20 'rough' mpg, but they are much cheaper to buy in the first place
tdi will have mega milage but will give bout 25 i think
i made my choice, but it depends what type of driving you are doing offroading??

i get a good 30 mpg on my 300 tdi

If your going for reliability,economy-choose the tractor 300tdi

The V8 will reward you with carbon foot print and addictive sound and torque.
That said any water loss is cause for concern and there are cases of slipped liners.

mines on 158,000

just replace all the electricites like coil, plugs, leads etc as they are the only bits that will let you down, they are pretty bulletproof really

so its the 3.9 then i think, and they use a chain cam so no need to worry bout that going
