Rear speakers in a classic, will non-L/R fit?

The rear speakers in my classic are kaput and I haven't had any joy from my local LR dealer to see if they are still made.

What I was wondering was if anyone knew if aftermarket models would fit and if so which ones. I wanted to try and keep the original grills as modern speaker covers are often a bit naff.

Any suggestions?

Sony do a custom fit series that have a very flush flat face to them and should fit behind the original grille. If I remember rightly they are the XF range but I could be wrong.
Halfrauds do them but you would need to know the size, better still just take one of the old ones down with you and you could probably match some up.

Any speakers of the same size will fit.

If you wish to keep the same covers off the old pair, you will have to prise them off very carefully as they are stuck on and are very fragile.

Thanks for the info.

I've sent off a speaker to Bassjunkies in Wolverhampton who I bought the front speakers off and they said they will find a speaker that fits into the grill for me.
