yTpo, mine is 2010, facelift version. The bamck doofer is sitting there loose, with a multipin thingy plugged in. i'll investigate in the day light. It would seem to be odd to leave it there half plugged in. I think I may venture out after dinner...just been stripping down some 75 year old AEC cylinder heads!

But then I don't know if the 2 arial leads will go down that far, maybe the unit sit on the empty shelf?

According to this it's in the same place as mine which is where that black box is in yours.

It's part of a recall. In earlier versions the seal at the top of the windows is prone to leaking; this dripped into the boot locker where the modules are and causes the radio to overheat and shut down. I had that problem with my 08 Vogue. A bus hit the back corner, got the corner repaired by a body shop and after that had the above problem. I complained to the body shop and they sent me the link for the recall sheet from LR. Sadly I don't have the link any more, but it involved a specially designed plastic sheet to divert the water from the amplifier.

I found a radio/tv module on fleabay last night for about £40, so got that on order. the only remaining myster is where does the single bit of fibre cable go? It appears there's a single green outlet on the said module, but where does the other end plug in to?

The black doofer is firmly fixed in the upright position at the front end of the boot locker. I can't see what it's labelled as. The missing module will have to slide in the racking at the top.

Thank you, most helpful. It's difficult finding a car that has an identical system to mine!!

As an amusing aside, the 2010 Sport part-exchanged for the Vogue has landed its new owner with2 speeding tickets on the bridge into Wales, 6 points each, so a hefty fine and a ban. DVLA haven't updated their records yet, so someone will be in for a nasty surprise. :)

Here's a couple of snaps from mine

From looking at your pictures it seems that someone has removed a section of the fibre cable so you can probably just get a joiner to connect them up again and get some of it working.

I keep a couple of these in the tool box for troubleshooting Fibre loops
Here's a joiner to make life a bit easier for now with any luck: Fibre joiner

It looks like what I've got, could you slide out the TV unit and see what the connections are and the part number? I've just received my unit from an ebay supplier, and it's probably the wrong unit. there's an additional green connector on it. The mystery fibre wire on mine I reckon loops back on itself. see pictures below.

Here's what I've fitted in. There's power to the unit when I plug in the connector on the left, the 2 fibre connectors are obvious, and the black fibre connector has red lights. The only place I can see for the erstwhile mystery fibre is in that black connector. But on this unit there's a light gren connector and nothing t plug into it which make me think I've bought the wrong unit. The radio unti on the dash sits there with the power light flashing and does nothing. But I do now get a bleep when i start the engine!

I don't know if anyone out there has access to the database that may show what unit should be in there, the VIN ends in 321347, reg is SP10BOS if that's any help.

The green connection isn't used.

The green and brown plugs are the aerials and probably coax. The black plug are the fibres.
What's the part number for the TV unit as not all are compatible ?

The orange and brown plugs are fibre and seem to go to riels, the multi-pin on the left is powerf feed, the black plug is lso fibre and I've looped the ;osse wire into that as there's nowhere else I can see to put it. Maybe if Blob could be kind enough to supply the part number from his car it would help.
