Hi all

I am looking at getting a raptor dash console and top pod, I am still undecided as to what configuration to go for. I want a cb and radio slot so will probably put them in the top of the main console and then I can't decide what else! How many gauges do people normally use? I was thinking coolant temp, extra fuel gauge (running veg oil) then I am not sure.

If anyone has a raptor set-up could I please have some pictures to get some ideas and could people tell me what extra switches and gauges they have in their defenders?

Very good dash by the way, I just fitted a CB in mine and it was well easy as they put self tapping holes in just the right place for the bracket.

Personally I have gone for the T20 top-panel (2-gauges and 8-Carling switch holes) and the B6 bottom-panel (DIN hole only). Not too busy or cluttered.

Guages will be clock & oil-pressure (all that is needed along with standard fuel, water & volt) and the Carling switches are hazard, heated screen, heated mirrors, interior light, map-light, high-beam over-ride, fan on/off/auto & blank.
Adjacent to the CD/radio will be a pair of 12V accessory sockets and an exterior temperature gauge, the holes for these I will cut myself.

All components have been sitting in the garage for some time now but with the bulkhead currently away at the galvanizers it is finally starting to happen.
 
Just watch where your radio goes as I find with mine its easy to change the channel when going into first gear, especially if wearing gloves.
 
I've got Netbook Mount, CB, CD player, Bury T&T hansfree fone holder, twin Fag lighter socket with twin USB ports, and a switch panel with 5 push to make switches and a fag lighter socket. All mounted to or on existing dash. All in easy reach of driver and, nothing gets in way of gear levers or owt else.
 
I went for CB in top & stereo in bottom. After that i customised it for my needs. I easy to drill and file. I also got the storage tray, great size for OS maps, but I did have to bend the gear lever.
I went for a row of 6 switches. 2 12v socket and a row of screw cap fuses (stereo, CB, Spare)
