No idea what happened to my British Thornton one, but I do have my father's one, and it's quite nice knowing that it designed bits of jet engines. You didn't find it on a bus did you? I lost mine on the way home from tech college in 1971
My first pocket calculator was a Sinclair something or other, it wasn't much better than a slide rule as it was so primitive I had to keep a mental note of where the decimal point was. I think it operated on a Polish Notation system. Sinclair went on to invent the Sinclair C5, another not very successful venture. No idea what happened to my British Thornton on, but I do have my father's one, and it's quite nice knowing that it designed bits of jet engines.
