Had my annual health check with nursey. All parts working normally, a picture of health I am. When I got back home I noticed I had not replaced the filler cap on me Landy after tipping a jerry can of diesel in this morning.
Well, it sounds as if you did this at home so there's a good chance of finding the cap.
I once did this in a fuel station in Yorkshire and lost the lockable cap completely. Total pain.

It's permanently attached to the filling point so it was just dangling there. Screwed it back on and locked it as soon as it was noticed.

Good thing. Well done.
The Pluriel's cap needs to be unlocked and once that is done the key won't come out of it, so there is a cunning little hook on the filler flap you hang it all on while filling up, you then have to put it back in with the key in to lock it and get the key out. And the key is the ignition key. It sounds a bit of a faff but there is no chance of leaving the cap off. Not had another car with anything like this arrangement.

I once had a problem finding the petrol cap on a 1972 Toyota I had just bought. Pulled up to the pump and couldn't find the cap. The attendant wimmins showed me where it was, behind the rear number plate which flipped down to reveal the cap.
Wimin no best , how do I know because I've got one , condolence cards excepted with apprehension 😩😩😩

Nice lamps!

Did you see that Wheeler Dealers where they had a home use rechroming kit? I have a kit that nickel plates but never seen one of these before. It works on much the same principle. The nickel plating one is a doddle to use.

Shame you didn't remove the shower yourself. Too much of this about. Our bloke wot we have used in two bathrooms is a proper bathroom fitter so he can do the lot, no messing and he isn't expensive. Or was, that was years ago now. He is probably retired and living in the Bahamas!!!
