No Hail-Frauds did not have the oil I ordered either and it won't be here till next week. :(
Interestingly, I found a different purveyor of high-Zinc 20/50 at not £30/5Ltrs but £79 for 20Ltrs.
I may cancel the Halfrauds order. :)
Well that is deffo a better price.
Looking forward to doing a lot of miles in it over the coming years then? 🤣 🤣 🤣
 
Straightened out that bit of galvanised steel from the trailer.
Managed to do it without breaking the plastic. Couldn't find my heat gun so had to use the garage hairdryer, (No I is not a gaylander driver, I just happens to have one in there which sometimes comes in handy for all sorts of things!!)
Anyway it worked, the plastic managed to retain its proper shape so that when I put the coloured lense type bit of plassy on it popped into place properly and the seal looks intact.
I thought I would end up having to refit it and bend it back into shape on the trailer but managed to do it by using the vice.
Sadly the reconnection of the wires isn't too clever, They are very short, even after cutting yet another cable tie, also I couldn't find any choc-blocks in the house, which is mad. I know, I should solder them and use heat shrink, but I think I may want to take it back off again to replace the flexi rubber jobbie as that was damaged some time ago. No way of doing it without cutting the wire. Bad design Brian James :mad:.
So I was reduced to using Scotchlocks. and a load of insulating tape!
But the point is that eventually I will be able to replace them with a permanent means of disconnection and reconnection. As it stands the only thing one can do with them is replace the bulbs. They are not essential, there is a proper rear light in the main body of the light cluster, they are just a sort of marker light.
At least the weather is fine dry and warm in the sun.:):):)

Use bathroom silicone not insulting tape ...

Well, yes and no. Maybe reasonable miles and frequent changes.
Also looking for a more appropriate airbox/filter combo to try and keep the induction noise down a bit because it is simply monstrous as it is. :D

It'd be interesting to know what sort of air filter combo you have on at the mo.
I think I ran a K&N with mine.

Talking of miles, it is frightening to realise that, at 4000 miles per year roughly, for the Disco insurance will cost me 10.3 odd pence per mile and road tax will be similar. 8.65 pence. and diesel at 25.5 pence per mile.
So nearly a quid every 2 miles.

Makes you flipping think don't it? :eek:

I get my Landy lubes from Smith and Allan, seem to have a good range of products at sensible prices. Found this mini oil on their inter web -----
