"fob pocket"?Morning All.
I had a moments panic last night when I could not find a crucial bit of the carburettor linkage. I checked all my pockets and no sign of it. Got up this morning got dressed and reached into the fob pocket (previously checked) and there it was... Phew!
I awoke a bit earlier today and did all my "start-up" chores (Cats, Paper, clear the things away from last night).
Got my mate on a call at 08:30 to talk about his pedal car racer.

now, while you are out shopping, as it were, get yersel one of those magnetic trays. they is good for not losing lickle metal things, like 10mm sockets. ROFL!

Oh blast!
Only realised this morning that when I got back from the hostible yessdi, I just put the bag of stuff down and left it thinking I didn't have to do anything with its contents just yet.
But I had left the Smoothie, which means most of it, in the bag the rest of the afternoon, evening, night and until I got up at about half nine..
I put it back in the fridge then.
We have no experience of these things, tis an Innocent one.
Will it be OK or should I just chuck it and get others?
Not that I am tight or anything!!!

Yer need to fink about this a bit deeperer. They won't be planning on using the genny in future. The desire of leccytrification is to gerrit from free sources like wind and sun. Yer can't do everyfink at once.
Have you ever desinged and built a product. Were all bits production made or a bit of a fiddle to get the first one going. The bus company trying to go leccy is doing so in stages.
The reality is diesel buses make a lot of soot because the driver is on and oft the brakes and power all the time. They go slower round obstacles like cirners. Hence the additional soot of eggscelleration after slowing or stopping each time. Diesels are only efficient when cruising. Even wiv egr, intercoolers and reuse of eggsauce gases yer still make a lot if soot when pulling away assit uses more raw diesel to givvit power. Soot they would rather not have in citues where there be lots of predestrians.
Hence why buses are suited to leccy power. Before they spend a million sovs on charging kit they can test the buses by charging them oft a genny. A genny running at constant speed. Therefore at its highest efficiency.

Years ago I watched a prog about a small block of flats that was at least partly off grid. they had a 2 litre Pinto engine in the basement running a generator.
It was set up to run steadily at peak revs so did far more "mpg" than it normally would.
It must have worked ok for them or they would have got rid of it.

Redundancy confirmed and I accepted a job offer yesterday. Now on leave for a week.

Did you also know that riveted jeans originally had a rivet at the very top of the inseam.
Apparently sitting near the camp fire made one rather uncomfortable..
