Job creation, a bloke/wimmins at each terminus to do just that, if the driver cannot be bothered!
What's not to like?!!!
TBH the main problem would be when it falls off for some reason, which they did rather often, and they had to use the extended barber's pole, normally mounted on the rear of the bus, to put it back on, which always seemed to take an age!
But I bet that nowadays they could make better ones!
Don't be silly, they ride on the bus and tell the Grannies when the next stop is, shout at the kids to keep their feet off of the seats ...
