Sitting here when we should both be driving to Chichester to enjoy the Royal Marine Band Christmas Special.
We often go and it is a great evening.
But W's guts are playing her up too much for us to be able to attend.
I'd email the tickets to anyone on here who wants them except that they are for a handicapped person and her carer, so a bit cheaper, which means it'd be dodgy.
Such a shame, still, there you go...:(
Must be a bummer trying to plan things hope she recovers soon can't be very nice 😕

Shame someone cant use them, I hope she feels better in the morning. :)

Used to leave my copper s unlocked and very often keys in the barrel sign of the times but then in my village you couldn't fart without half the village knowing including the local plod 😮😮

My keys have been in my landy since I bought it & its still here years later.
Everyone knows the keys are in it but no-one is stupid enough to take it as they're thinking its a trap. 🤣🤣

The thermostat housing is different as is the top rad hose, if I think about it for a while im sure there are another few things
but only a mini guru would know by looking at it. Tappet chest breather & the breather on the timing chain cover are different too.
Head casting is different but normal folk wouldn't notice, some had a plastic stopper in the thermostat housing as well, yes top hose different

Watching car progs like Wheeler Dealers and Car SOS, why on earth do they do them up, toon the engine up and say "Now it'll be able to keep up with modern traffic!"???
Modern traffic has a speed limit, max of 70 mph, but more and more other limits are prevalent. I drive from our place to Poole and the max I can do on that journey is 40 mph and that is for a very short stretch.
20 mph all over the place. I struggle to get lock up, i.e.e 55 mph, in the Disco driving from home to Bath.
Tis all a joke.

Track days is all you can do to "keep up with modern traffic" and enjoy it!
No wonder I don't miss performance driving the Disco.

Used to have a big, green Series 3 greenhouse that had a toggle kill switch on the dash, with the huge steering wheel I usually catch the switch on a certain roundabout that had a sharp turn on the exit I needed
Kit car builders often fit one. Often with a removable key, but a thin fused wire to maintain power to the radio etc.

@DanClarke
Start with one of these unless you want to endure constant back ache.

they may have already installed one of the cheapo versions. Better than nothing.....;)

They'll also tell you about disc brake conversions, adjustable bits for the springs, rads, exhausts etc etc.
Have fun!! :):)

Oh and motorbike carbs!!🤣🤣🤣
But will it need this if it has already had....
Under the bonnet is a nicely modified 1275cc engine, everything was replaced when it was built. Has a stage 2 head with 21cc cambers etc that has literally just been re done. A nice lumpy cam with upgraded pistons and paired with an AC Dodd HIFF 44 carb, 3 branch LCB and full side exit Playmini exhaust system which of course sounds epic. The gear box has just been totally rebuilt meaning that this Mini wants for nothing. A full rolling road set up, resulting in a great 83.2bhp & 83.5 ibft, she will now be more like 90 bhp with the head just being redone. Upgraded 4 pot callipers and rear super fins plus braided hoses take care of all the stopping requirements. Of course everything underneath is adjustable and includes upgraded Gmax shocks, Hi-Los, tie bars & camber. The subframes have been removed and freshened.
It may not need too much attention. :D
I am very unclear what it might be worth and what I should insure a £12.95 purchase-price car for. :(

I did read the descrip.
I was only joking!
It does sound very up together, the brakes and Hi-Los etc are what it needs.
Mini mags will be full of ads, There must be Mini forums with for sale boards and there are clubs all over the place, they are still VERY popular, and if you join a club you'll get cheaper insurance with a lot of specialist brokers. Peeps in clubs will know the value and maybe even provide you with an agreed valuation for insurance purposes if you want that. W has that with Heritage Insurance for her Chesil, so if anything happened to it she'd get shedloads of money for it, allegedly! Her valuations come from Chesil themselves.
Ball park?
£10k or thereabouts.
