Went to orspicle today for "pre-op assessment".
They warned me it would take about 2 hours. What?
Well they were wrong, it took 3 hours.
During which a nurse, one of the team I got passed around, couldn't find me so instead of checking at reception that I had turned up, or even simply calling out my name, rang my wife to see if I had left! She was in bed, unwell so of course this sent her into wondering if I had had an accident or a break down. although she realised I'd have rung her unless I was too badly hurt!
So I had to ring her back from one of their offices.
They put off doing my blood pressure,;)🤣
Then I helped a nurse who was trying to attach a bit of kit to a trolley with an allen key headed bolt, from below. At least she understood "clockwise"! then I explained how to use the other end to tighten it up, and left her with the thought that she could have put the bolt on the Allen key to position it!
The last thing was taking blood to be tested.
First nurse tried in 3 different veins, couldn't get any out. so she gave up.
After a wait, another one did it in seconds.

I dearly love the NHS and the peeps who work there. But it can be frustrating.:(

And I passed my MOT, all except the blood which they still won't know. so that was nice!

Interesting wiring episode today, I dont do much leccy stuff especially 3 phase.
Needed a pillar drill wiring up but it was old colours black, blue, red, yellow. The only plug I could find was a 5 pin with new colours on another machine so chopped it off (hope someone doesnt need it soon lol) Now its gained interest in the workshop cause im usually not in there n everyone has no idea how to wire up 3 phase but they all wanted to help, oh aye the first attempt energised the drill so I got a wee leccy shock of the switch but didnt say anything I said to the lads how do you turn it on.....one lad oh get out the way you turn this switCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AGGGHHHHHHH YA %$%&& 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Everyone buggered off for lunch laughing & I came back n wired it up properly.

What's that saying? - trying to get blood from a stone ---- :p. So your having a pre-op, when did you actually come out?🤣🤣🤣
Not even having a real op.
I am having bigger and more painful injections in the joints in my hands for arthuritis.
They will be too painful for me to stand without a light anaesthetic. So, just cos of this, I have to have all this palaver.
The "op" will be when they decide.
