On account of advancing age ----- and waistline----- I have squandered me pocket money on a car creeper. Luxury model with 2 x magnetic tool trays, and a LED work light on a bendy stick thing. Should make getting under the family fleet of low slung front end cars a bit easier from now on. Especially the focus which almost hugs the ground with its nose. And I need to add a couple more inches to the height of the home- made ramps. The 1970's ramps which are still in good condition, and still useable for raising the rear end, are no good at the fronts of moderns. Looking forward to sliding around under the Landy too :p

This is our preferred way of driving it around View attachment 321681 Cos if you do this to it, which admittedly looks a shade cooler View attachment 321682 Then once you put the arches back on, they tend to leak.
And of course you have to store the arches at home as, as Clarkson correctly pointed out, you cannot store them in the car!

Overall I am going to change 100 tiles but as 6 weigh 25kilos, I only carry 2 at a time up the ladder and of course I have to move and carry 2 off the roof as well! (Maybe I need to make myself some kind of backpack to make it easier. I have bought some stout cord and a couple of pulleys so I might be able to make up some sort of a hoist but they are a flipping awkward shape. If they wer eflat slates it'd be a sight easier!)

My left knee is complaining so doing other stuff to do with the pool today, the knee has been placed on "light duties"🤣

I dont do tiled roofs only slate ones. 25k they are quite heavy so watch you dont give yourself an injury.

Got 1 too, but it keeps falling in the pit so I just use that now :p 🫣.

Had a couple of nights away last weekend and the room had one of those Dyson air mover type fans. Mrs T was most impressed with the high air flow, cool air temperature and low noise. They have one with a heating element as well which is only about 70w (they say). Good for us as we have no CH.
Not cheap, but we're probably going to take a punt. The recon ones are a bit cheaper but have the same warranty.

Got me one for the same reasons but the ickle wheels couldn't cope with nobbly bobble concrete in the alley. Praps a big sheet of ply or even lino?
 
Today I have mostly been plumbering in the dottir's bathroom - new sink, taps n pipes various. (did some of the work last week, now working but with a couple of finishing jobs to do).
