Haha my knees can't curtsy back thoughGood evening ma’am. (Deep bow)
Having rust treated the w/w mech last night I have painted it this am, took far longer to organise this and clean up afterwards than to do the job, as it is so often!
Now wondering if I am going to be able to mend the plastic plenum thingy that covers the well under the windscreen and between it and the bonnet/engine compartment.
As usual with plastics, no idea which glue will be the best.
I wish there was some way of finding this out.
It says on it JAG 100100 ABS/PCA
I have googled it to try and find out but not much help.
I searched for the plenum and found it on another site, not in stock as per but they wanted money above 200sovs! (Well above. )No pic but see here for the part for sale....

In yer boot? Spider, mebbee? That sting/bite in my foot what I got this morning has somehow turned quite serious.
Totally fed up of how we come over here and one or both of us go down with something. I have to sit or lie with my foot up and can barely stand on it or hobble with it.
Flipping thing.
Totally no idea what it could have been.
If no better tomoz I'll have to go to "urgences".
REALLY fed up .
Since last posting I have done some reading up on it, in French, and agree with you that that is most likely what it was. Blasted thing. They have bugs over her that we don't have back in Blighty. In yer boot? Spider, mebbee?
Only posted that cuz me bro in lore godda spidger inniz wellie aboat 10 yurs back. He’s a stubborn mule and let it get infected so I reckon A&E is a good bet, mate.Since last posting I have done some reading up on it, in French, and agree with you that that is most likely what it was. Must be a noosince when yer goes tu confession.Years of rugby after a motorbike accident.
Great shame, at least something was saved. I'm surprised if most cars were low mileage, good condition etc that the sons didn't want to 'bother with some paperwork'. I'm assuming this is in France - if they were still on UK plates then there would have been a lot of difficulty and expense but if they had already been imported onto French plates then not much of a problem?Judging by the one I saw they were low mileage and had been stored very correctly. i.e. in a proper garage or summat. Rob never buys rubbish.
Rob bought it from the guy who saved what he could, so the whole story is secondhand, but he says the guy was a British car nut and lots of them were one owner, low mileage as was the 2.5pi.
I agree that it is a massive shame when stuff that could be useful to others gets thrown away.
Enthusiasts of old Brit classics that were used as donors for kit cars are now searching for and buying the kit cars to source parts for their own cars. I in my own garage have bits for Cortina mks 3 and 4 and morris Marina stuff. Talking engines and gearboxes here as well as other miscellaneous bits. Triumphs were popular donors as so many of them had chassis and sub assemblies..

I agree, don't let it get any worse. You need to go & get it looked at asap, I got bitten with a wolf spider 2 years ago it was all swollen with rings round the
bite luckily it didnt get infected, but it didnt clear up for months. Yours sounds serious.
