Got to the bottom of the winscreen whoppers problem.
The motor was held in by being connected to the arm mechanism and.......

Tonight is the first night of the three day and night village festival, so free apéros on the mayor and the fete committee.
I'll be toasting the "Gouvernement Travailliste" which will bemuse some folks!!
Hoping that my Dutch mate (another one) who used to repair Landies and has a great stock of secondhand parts, has held on to the RHD wiper mech from the Disco he got bits off for me a few years back after the accident. I don't hold out much hope of getting them sent over here for anything like a reasonable sum.
So we'll be having an early dins! Hope yous all have a nice evening!

Disco 2 wipers seem to have jumped a cog.
They have been making a funny noise for a while, like a more distinct "click" when starting a sweep from rest. But today they (BOTH) seem to have jumped a cog as they come to rest quite a bit further up the screen than usual and when running the driver's side one clouts the upright edge of the...
