Carburettors can be proper awkward. I nearly always end up putting the old and tired through the ultrasonic for 20 minutes or so and they perk up a treat. I guess it makes them feel loved. The last one was on a 1981 Honda Squash, a tiny 50cc two-stroke scooter. Absolutely refused to do anything but fire & die. 20 minutes TLC and it was purring like a kitten.
That thing wiv an ultrasonic has been mentioned before. I just simly don't have one.
Others have mentioned soaking it in acetone for 24 hours. Which I could do as acetone is far easier to obtain over here.
Please tell me what liquid you use in the ultrasonic? And do you wash it afterwards in soap and water? As I have heard you should do that even after using proper carb cleaner, cos all it tends to do is free it off or shift it a bit not get rid completely.
Also I don't have compressed air over here neither.

IIRC an ultrasonic uses just soapy water or simlar. The method creates tiny ickle bubbles to shift the crud, simple as that. Can you confirm @DevonGuy ?

My missus has one she uses to clean jewellery but she was frit of it shifting certain types of stones in their mounts so she gave it to me. But it is too small even for a tiny carb. It came with "special" liquid, which is prolly just expensive soap and water! 🤣 🤣

We've got a bigger ultra sonic cleaner in the yard somewhere I must see if I can find it. :)

Commande #1150

Merci pour votre achat !

Nous préparons l’envoi de votre commande. Nous vous informerons quand celle-ci aura été envoyée.

So they are preparing the delivery of my order and they will inform me when the latter will have been sent! (Don't you just love French verb tenses? No? Well it takes all sorts.
The French are very logical, it hasn't been sent yet so sending it has to be in the future so when that (will) has happened we will inform you. Unlike scruffy English which would just say "We'll tell you once it's been sent." The tense is called the "futur antérieur" or the "future in the past" in case anyone gives a flip! Dr Who would understand as he does a bit of it!)

Funnily, with our silver wedding anniversay coming up in a few days time, that might be a great present for both of us.
She can do her bling in it and I can do my mechanicals in it!
Or maybe we should just get a parts washer.
Then we could both wash our......... oops better not go there!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Yeah, I’m lucky with kit but the liquid is ammonia and in a heated tank so the parts come out warm to hot and dry quite quickly once laid out. Of course you have the benefit of the blazing French sunshine so would have the advantage of me! 😉
