Good to see you being so positive, as usual for you.!
Great progress, hope it keeps on going up and up.

P.S. My bro has just got back from a holiday to Hawaii. He dosen't let his two stoma bags and the need for a wheelchair stop him doing much!
Good for him! The nurses never stop telling me that this is possible. I hope to be getting back to my former activities in due course but got to heal properly before I get my strength back.

Absolutely!
Don't rush it whatever the temptations.
Otherwise it'll be two steps forrard one step back.

W has had to be looking at all this as we just don't know in what shape she will be after her op eventually happens. But she keeps telling me stuff like "You can swim with a stoma bag." so modern stuff does seem to be very good. ;);):):)

....that i have fitted the noo chinesium carb to the Ryobi, and after a lot of effort it actually started.
So, extremely chuffed.
No idea whatsoever why it took so long to get running, although it isn't exactly like the original, for instance the choke lever doesn't have a mid position. So I have had to do a lot of guessing. But still. Hopeful it might start easier next time!
:):):):)

Now to have another bash at stripping down the carb on the 4 stroke and seeing if I can do a better job on that one. ;)

She’s right, mate. She’s a woman, so bound to be!
Gill Castle, 44, was fitted with a stoma bag in 2011 after a severe childbirth injury. She spent the following three years too afraid to do any exercise besides walking, then became the first person with a stoma to swim the English Channel solo on 12 September 2023.

I would like to know if Land Rover are using alien technology practice.
The other evening, I had a knock on the door and I faced what can be described as two weird characters.

Oddly enough I lost track of time as they spoke about the latest EV Evoque model.🤦
Somehow I had been abducted onto their spaceship I think outside Birmingham research department vessel and being probed anal and oral. 🤠💩After being returned apparently I wasn't suitable for the conversion I couldn't walk properly or speak for a week🤔
Anyone had a similar experience on here. I hope the picture helps just incase.

well the 4 stroke Ryobi...
I stripped it down further this time, taking out the minute little needle jet where I distinctly thought I could feel a bit of grit.
Blew it all through with proper carb cleaner this time.
Put it all back together and it started!
And ran and even went down to tickover!
Great......... I thought.
But on trying to restart it when a bit warm it went pear-shaped.
My right shoulder now is paining me if I make certain movements, due to yanking repeatedly on starter cords. :(
But at least there is hope that I may be able to eventually get it going. Might take a rebuild kit.
Enjoy the evening folks!

Oh on hollibobs are you? Have fun!
Over ere it has got drizzly so we've come in.
Managed to unload all the tiles and helped W in the gardening a bit.
My new carb for the Ryobi strimmer arrived today, much earlier than expected. Sadly with no "pacman" type screwdriver to make adjusting the jets easier.
But "whoopee" do I may be able to get it going and use it to cut tree branches off as well with its various attachments.
Enjoy the rest of the day folks!:):):)

Me on ollyday pfffft

Take the pull start cover off & turn it with a buzz gun or drill. :):)

Not the same I know, but my electric start lawn-mower is so much better than the old pull-start. :)

Wot hoist !!! Ive deffo missed somit...
Must be a few pages back now. I put a link up to it. A hoist using electric motor or motors and cables to lift 500 kgs 10 metres into the air. I want it for shifting roof tiles.
At €60 it's a bit of a bet, and that includes carriage as well.
If I can find the link I'll put it up again.
Both me and a mate have ordered one.

Already this morning Ive had a call from the wife's dottir that the retractable washing line installed by her uncle on Satdi has slipped / stretched overnight and her laundry is on the floor.

I has some steel core line in the garridge somewhere but will need to get a turnbuckle an summa them wire cable clamp fings fust.

When it stops rainin..

Bulldog clips is what we call em. Ive got over a mile of 20mm winch cable if yours need any. 🤣 🤣

It came from screwfix I will go n find it think it was 200 sovs.

Carburettors can be proper awkward. I nearly always end up putting the old and tired through the ultrasonic for 20 minutes or so and they perk up a treat. I guess it makes them feel loved. The last one was on a 1981 Honda Squash, a tiny 50cc two-stroke scooter. Absolutely refused to do anything but fire & die. 20 minutes TLC and it was purring like a kitten.
