well.......
The noo element is in the dishwasher and currently under test at the hottest setting.
I was able to test the old one quick enough to determine that yes it WAS fubar.
Big relief all round.
Fiddly flipping job, I took two side panels off before determining it would be easier to take the bottom panel off.
But once that was done, which involved removing the adjustable feet stuff etc, it was a lot easier.
The hardest part was working out how to separate the two halves of the electrical connector.
And as usual it is obvious that in the factory they put them together never thinking about the poor berk who will have to repair it. All those compression sprung fittings for the rubber pipes had the two ends round out of the way so I had to do some blue sky thinking (swearing) before I developed a noo two-tooled way of closing them together and rotating them until I could shift them properly.
so, quick Stanley tip.
If you want to do any of this, turn the machine upside down, it is a lot easier that way!
And be prepared to constantly mop the floor!
Better a €80 euros part than anoo machine!
Captain Tightbum rides again!
