It has vac unit on but for some reason the pipe is blocked off so you can't connect vac tube
We are trying to keep it as original as poss regarding the fan, so I'll try and fix the old one
It's to be sold so just getting it running as smooth as I can and give it a polish

If I had the time and it was mine I'd alter a mechanical dizzy with or without points to get the best out of it but too much to do

This is all very interesting.
You can see why I built my own dizzy tester when I decided to sort out the wife's Porsche Speedster replica. I really do sympathise as getting the timing right on old buses like this is quite critical and not necessarily as easy as one might think.
Without a vac tube it'll run OK it'll just use more juice and if you are selling it I doubt you'll be bothered by that. All it means is that you and/or the new owner will need to change gears a bit more often.
W's Speedster came with a dizzy with no vac advance. A Bosch unit, 009, instead of a standard VW Beetle unit. So I swopped it for a standard VW unit with the vac and electronic ignition, which was a bit easier to deal with, but I had to build the tester to set the maximum advance. It still didn't run right as getting enough vac to make the unit work was the issue.
Trouble is a set up for racing or track days is never going to run OK on the road. And if it has too much advance it'll detonate and do the head no good at all. :(:(

Well thats me oft to bed. Had me own list of fings eye wanted to get done over the weekend and only half started one of them. Din't get me light up but me chuck casserole was nice. Me cable has been cut and terminated ready. Got me tools oot eye need then fort eye din't have enough time so stopped. Took some more pic's of bee's landing on me lupins.
 
Tis that time of year when eye is fighting the ants digging oot the sand from under me block paving so they can grow eggs. Eye is finking of squirting me ant killer liquid down the hole they use to carry me sand oot. Using the spray fing it comes in ain't good for doing this so eye came up wiv the idear of using a medical syringe oft ebay. Yer can gerrum wiv a blunt metal tube on the end 1.5mm fick which would be ideal me finks. Eye just need to work oot a way of firing me ant powered down said small hole anorl. Any idears?

Animal peeps have called. Even though me deadded hedgehog ain't got any marks on him, they fink it's likely he was run over as he was found deadded on the pavement. He'd moved to sit by a brick wall. Said it were likely he would be hurt inside even though there be no marks on the outside. She said there's a lot of this happening this time of year. Especially as they may be oot looking for food in the day time. Food may be scarce or trying to find more to feed it's young. This one will go in me bin to be cremated by the council.

Eye has already put oot a bowl of water down the bottom of the garden where eye seen the other one. Eye will sort oot a feeding box in its memory to help the others.
