I have replied to your previous posts I design electrical systems for a living. I can calculate from the specs what it says it will do but as I already alluded, some manufacturers make these figure up.Flippin nightmare trying to get information on an inverter for my van
One person gave what seemed like good advice until I questioned him and found that he didn't have an inverter nor did he have a camper van ffs
Can read all about the problem on tinternet but need someone who has experience with a 2000w inverter
Is it enough, will it drain leisure battery too quick
What can I use with it, microwave, kettle, etc etc ??
selling? did you mean smelling?went to the motocross yesterday, I don't think I went for a minute without selling weed of one sort or another
why?! if you aren't having fun and need a spliff, save your £40 and stay at home
yes hahaselling? did you mean smelling?

If you want help in deciding pm me the inverter you have looked at and the specs of the items you want to run along with your battery and I will give you some guidance.
Nobody, unless they have the exact same setup, can tell you how it will actually respond.

I did buy a cheap 2000w and it was junk so I sent it back. I run 2 batteries in the 90 that are mis-matched and I wouldn't recommend it. One will pull the other down. If they are matched it works a lot better.Understood and thank you
I have looked at dozens and think that a 2500w will do
Wanted to know if anyone had purchased and used a 2000w ish inverter and used it
Battery is a big leisure battery that was in the van when I got it, no markings on it at all.
I have run it at shows last year for lights, tele on all day and water pump plus fan in roof on permanently and it never drops below 12.5 v over the two days, four by six foot solar topping it up.
I have a spare 12v battery from an L200 pickup and was wondering could I hook it up to the leisure battery for extra life ?
I don't think I went for a minute without selling weed
think i'd need to be moving stronger stuffIs this how you finance your RR habit
Or did you move closer to them.

I'm not an expert in lectric so hope this helpsI did buy a cheap 2000w and it was junk so I sent it back. I run 2 batteries in the 90 that are mis-matched and I wouldn't recommend it. One will pull the other down. If they are matched it works a lot better.
This is not to say you can't do it, just what I have tried and it has failed. What controller (mppt) do you use from the panels to the battery?
I would suggest getting a battery current monitor and see what the draw is. Without knowing the stated capacity though it is probably a waste of time. As you know a typical (non lithium) battery is best not to discharge below 50% of capacity no matter how 'deep cycle' they claim to be.
If you are so busy "selling weed" you must be doing OK.went to the motocross yesterday, I don't think I went for a minute without selling weed of one sort or another

That does help. You have a split charger too which is helpful on low sun days. The mppt controller has an Ethernet port so I imagine there is software to allow for reading profiles and linking with other controllers etc.I'm not an expert in lectric so hope this helps

I suspect that a 240v 800w hair dryer would drain the battery about the same as a 12v 800w oneI have no experience of campers, but would say (i think) any 240v appliance through an inverter would soon drain 1 leisure battery pretty quick.
Meant to say this last night.
She better have short hair.
That's why I got distracted and looked for 12v items.
