Feet up as doctors ordersWell that was a job defnitly wurf doin, my buy ass spring is now doin it's job and the gear change is transformed! Should've done it years ago! I think the nylon cup atta bottom is worn, the buzzin is still there a bit so more to be done, but the difference is remarkable. Think I'll spring for a slickshift upgrade for me Burpdi.
Has turned quite wintry again. How are all the crocks doin this afternoon?

You could just get a noo nylon cup.
A "quickshift" is an interesting idea, you could even make one of your own, but is it worth offsetting the extra effort it will take to make each shift against a bit of speed on the change? After all it isn't a rally car!
"Slickshift" "Quickshift", you say tomayto I say tomahto! No, a slickshift. Is a kit wif a new pivot pin an a spacerer. The pivot point is moved up by about 15mm so you get the same movement at the gate for less movement at the knob. Obverously a bit more force must be required at the knob, but I reckon is worth a go for a ton an an hour of my time
Just learned that the charlatan Jay Blades is opening a furniture shop near us.
Spot the cushions that don't even fit the overpriced tat!

I think one stupid item coloured in, a button or a chairleg is supposed to be his trademark.£90 for a bloody cushion, wont be getting my business.
Did like the "windsor chairs" but why does he have to dip the legs of many of the items in a paint tin. Just such a nice basic strong chair for the kitchen and now its shouting at you.
Ok some would say I am not a follower of fashion. sing it

Wot yer using it for? They can be easy to blow up if yer use em wrong or dunt have a secure connection supplying em. Eye had a maplin 1000w one to power the wuks laptop and some test kit. Powered from a fag socket. Plug int sockect wobbled so weren't secure. It blowed up.
Add up everything you run then double it so its not flat out all the time.
and make sure the missus dont pack the hairdrier.
