Afternoon folks:).

Had to do an emergency rations run to the shop today, beer and fags;) oh I did pickup some bread too:D.
But it would be rude not to take the fender wouldn’t it:). It didn’t like to spin over fast enough to start, booster out for that extra and it went straight away:).
So off we toddled roads have had the plough go through which surprised me as it was only about 4” where we were, so roads clear.
So on the way back I took the “long cut” through the woods:D, bit protected so not much snow but hey, fun none the less:).

I was once on a French exchange with some year 9 kids. We were just about to go into a nuclear power station for a tour.
I had heard that some of the kids, as usual, had bought a load of bangers.
I told them I knew some of them had them and that if they didn't hand them over noone was going on the visit as "they had sniffer machines that could smell explosives and we'd all get into trouble if they smelt em" Total BS of course, but it worked. (They stayed on the coach with me while the rest got the tour.) Yep, I know, I felt like miserable git too. But imagine if one of the little creatures had set one off inside the facility "for a laugh".?:eek:
It was bad enough on the boat home having to get the kids to go through all their bags etc to find the bottles of Calvados the French exchange families had stowed away as secret presents for the UK families. We as staff could take some of it over but loads always had to go over the side.:(:(:(

Then there were the flick knives....... at least they are now illegal over there too.
When I lived there in 1978/9 you could by a .22 pistol over the counter in a gunshop.:eek::eek:
My stars how things have changed!
Have a good night's sleep folks!:):):)

When my neighbour and i were stripping the donor Cortina for my last kit car, in his garage, he started cutting up the body with it.
Forgot about the headlining!
Phwarrr. did it smoke and stink! Had to vacate the premises once we'd put the flames out, for a little while.:eek:
Still, meant I could take it down the tip in bits on his not very big trailer, made from a Mini subframe and a box made of wooden planks.;)

Flag layer not coming today, he did three rounds in the boxing ring at weekend and won but says he's still sore (he's 53)
Might as well dig some more out ready for the flags, probably could finish it myself now only ten more to lay

Bit of work to do in camper, fix sink in place and set water pump up etc, been looking at swivel seat bases but need a single passenger set with seat belt fitted and they're very expensive
Sun's shining, . good day all
