..... and to cap the day off.
When the lady who does our dogs, let's call her "Donna", (as that's her name) finished the first trim on the oldest dog, she found a mass of ...yuk...towards the tip of one ear.
We both looked at it and wondered if it'd become more obvious when she bathed her.
So she did and ...wow...it was as if Rudolph's nose had slipped.
One of the problems with longhaired dogs.
The older the dog the more likely are warts. But we aren't sure this is a wart.
It sure as feck wasn't there when I trimmed them in the summer.:(

Last time I had to do this when someone died there was a lot of useful information on the H.M. Courts Service web pages. I see it's all been subsumed into the gov.uk website now
https://www.gov.uk/when-someone-dies
Since I last did this the 'tell us once' service has been developed, so I don't know how well it works firsthand. However, people seem to think quite highly of it

Thanks for reminding me about this, which of course I had filed under, "don't need this at the moment" in the sieve which is my memory.
I'll get W to text her that too.
Thanks again for your help.;):):)

You get all kinds of interesting lumps and bumps growing on dogs as they get older. A friend of mine had a Labrador that grew an odd shaped thing on his underside that looked like an extra set of testicles. It was a reddish colour and had two lobes, of which the left was a bit lower than the right. They consulted the vet and an appointment was made for him to go and have it removed. Unfortunately, on the morning of the appointment the growth had disappeared and was nowhere to be found. He must have chewed it off in the night and eaten it. It left only a very small wound that hardly bled at all, apparently.

Did the vet still charge £500 for the privilege!?

Yes, I think that was part of the problem. The tumour was eaten after the operation had been booked and it was too late to cancel so it was a bit of a nightmare. The dog himself bumbled along for another few years, eating food he'd stolen and slobbering happily over visitors. He got other lumps and bumps but they only looked like small hemispheres under his skin and weren't so exciting.

thats shocking, but not surprising. glad to hear your friend trundled on with casual disregard :)

Morning men,
any idea how much decking I would need to make a deck 25 feet x 16 feet please ?
Well, that's 400 sq. ft. Decking boards typically come in 145mm x 3.6m, so they're around 5.66 sq. ft. each. So that's 71 boards. Obviously, you'll need to cut bits off the ends of them so the joints correspond to where your joists are, so you'll probably need a few more in practice. Say 75 altogether.

I worked it out at 133 lengths of 2.5 m:rolleyes:
Are those boards 4" ?
