We are not in Winter yet and the average daily energy cost is running at £9.97/day.
That's £310 per month.
Avg. daily Kwh Electric is 16.34 and Gas is 34.6
I reckon that real winter temperatures will see the gas triple but the electric only increase marginally.
What really annoys me is that the Admin charge is running at 6% for electric and 7% for Gas. That's for doing what? I take the readings, they send me an e-bill.
Aren't their costs of supply part of their business costs? Why am I paying? Its a scandal.
Does the Supermarket charge you for producing the till receipt? NO.

No, not deliberate, accidental.
To me, and you won't like this, modern hippos, Discos and RRs all look the same, especially on their sides in a lock.
But yes I was wrong as I had read the thing and read that it was a Disco.
Just forgot, in my keenness to make a little joke.

I bought my wife 2L of Irish Whisky as one of her B'day presents. Amazon regret to inform me that they dropped the package in the local depot and they bust. Oh, and I can't have my money back for 5 - 7 business days.

We'z thinkin of puttin the tombola dryer on.
Also Octopussy have got us to enrol on this "use as little leccy as you can" between the hours of 5 and 6 this p.m. i.e. today, which will be no sweat. 'Parently you win money if you use less than you "normally" do.
Have they got some little leprechaun sitting in our meter making notes?
Feck me, "Big Brother is watching you(r meter).
And W is unwell and in her bed today, even cancelled her sewing gig. So I'll be able to control her use of sparks.
We'll see how few groats we make.

We, wiv octopussy, are paying much more daily charge for leccy, over twice what we pay for gas. Dunno about admin charge. Our leccy is 3.12 a day the only thing thats runs most of the day is the leccy heating pump for the
stove with back boiler, water bed & the usual appliances. We are using one bag of coal a week @
35 sovs. Roughly 230 quid a month. Thats doubled since last year.

I'm with Octapussy and last month they added a standing charge for gas of 26p per day
Noticed it on the smart meter, used to be 55p on the electric when I got up in morning and gas at zero, now gas is 26p !
55p was overnight usage plus standing charge.
I think they are making it up as they go along
My bills are about £2.50 a day now with using gas central heating

Quite, although we must be on a different tariff as we always had standing charges on both, they just went up, neither is over 50p though.
all this talk of how much peeps use per day, i really must open the meter box and try pushing some buttons.
We have a smart meter fitted by Scottish electricity some time ago and we had a lickle electric box of tricks that showed stuff. I plugged it in and charged it up a little while ago but it don't work no more, well only shows us a little bit. nothing like it used to work.
But Octopussy say we are on a smart meter, so obvs they can use it bettrn us. They took the thing over ages ago and at first we still had to read the meter, but then one day all of a sud they could do it.
