Up at "Feck off" stupid O'clock cos the oven cleaner guy was coming early. He turned up bang on time, all the way from Pompey. Did a decent job so I gave him a tip. Well he was Hungry, (Hungarian, sorry!)
Had to sit down for a little while with a cup of sweet tea!
Wifey wants lambs kidneys for a dish she wants to do on Satdi when dottir +bloke are coming over, to celebrate his Bday, and maybe mine too, though mine isn't for 19 days yet..
Wanted to send me into Wimborne so I told her to phone the blessed butcher, which she did to be told he wouldn't know if he was getting any till tomorrow but then she could order them over the phone!
Off to back cracker college in a min, and to fill up the Disco.
Slightly windy 'ere but not too bad.
Have a lovely day peeps
Got the date today wrong, mine is on the 20th.Going butchers today as well, getting sausage and meat pies, my birthday in 19 days as well
Feel your pain mate!Just going to say that...
I should not have to stand my 20st weight on a 2ft breaker bar to undo front wheel nuts on my Skoda.
That calculates to be the same torgue that i apply on my disc 2 front hub nuts.
Very lucky i did not break them off. Fortunately the security nuts were at an acceptable level.
And why when you order brake pads do you always get the wrong fitment out of two even though you give suppliers reg numbers. And the ones i need are not in stock.
The car is still on stands awaiting correct ones to be delivered.
Always check the make of calliper and type of disc (vented or not). Then you can search for the right pads and buy right first timeAnd why when you order brake pads do you always get the wrong fitment out of two even though you give suppliers reg numbers. And the ones i need are not in stock.
I once ordered brake pads for my D1 to find they was wrong. Had been to the shop and called the model number up on their pooter and everything.Always check the make of calliper and type of disc (vented or not). Then you can search for the right pads and buy right first time

I had a tyre done on my grand daughters car and refused to let the fitter tighten the wheel nuts unless he used the wheelbrace that was in the boot.
He said that they wouldn't be tight enough using the brace, How then is she supposed to get them off using the brace if she gets a puncture ?
Ended up I let him tighten them and then with difficulty, I loosened them with his breaker bar and did them up to about the right torque for ally wheels with the wheelbrace.
He said once I've done my job its up to you and we're not responsible if it comes off, flippin jobsworth who knew nothing about tightening torques only tight, tighter and 8 foot bar
upset
