At least you got a result and an actual visit. Concern he said a wheel on the van locking up as if to say nothing wrong with the "mover" thingy.
Sounds like hes a bit of a disgruntled employee too;).

As for the poor little snowflake you upset, well life's hard sometimes in the outside world, and I am sure you are not upset about it as you shouldn't:)

Hope they resolve and just dont fade away with the customer service;).

Do we think one of the brakes needs a little adjustment? Or the stop-it-locking-up-when-reversing device is not behaving?
On my twin axle trailer reversing always seems to annoy it.:(:(:(:(
Anyway let's hope DD finally gets it sorted.:):):)

Finished me Neil Armstrong steps yesterday. Got caught in a sudden rain storm halfway through the jointing so had to do some of it twice .

I drove it about 100 miles home with no problem and it was only after I had unhitched it from the car and then used the mover to make it go up a very slight incline into its resting place that the mover went on strike - after doing only 10 metres. I am fairly certain that the wheel was not locking then or we (there were three of us then ) would not have been able to struggle to push it along. Its 3 week 'rest' whilst I tried to contact the dealer doesn't seem to have improved the fault. I can but hope that 'he' comes back and is able to take a good look. One thing is certain, he will have to give it a good test in order to turn it round and then get it back into its resting position ready for me to re-fill it.

Well varied day today.
It has rained quite a bit but also been sunny and warm enough to dry a load of washing, before it slung it down again.
Started off by flipping the base on that unit.
Thought out of the box a bit to prevent me having to take it completely apart, used some right angle brackets with adjustment slide on one side to secure the back once the screws to the base were out otherwise the whole thing would have fallen apart.
Left them in once job done, so it'll be stronger overall.
Took Wifey to hospicle for her normal follow up mammogram. Quite a few years now since she had the big C but she still worries obvs.
Then went and looked at carpets for a new stair carpet. (seem to remember when i was a kid they lasted for ever!)
Plus faffing about with Wifey's old iPhome as it looks as if I'll have to have one to be able to travel to France. Really ffing don't want one.
Wouldn't take me Tesco Mobile pay-as you go SIM altho some sites say an oldish phone, this is 2013 MY, ought to.
Don't want to pay someone to sort this but think I'll have to.
Feckin Covid!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I haven't bought a new phone since 2003, since then I've blagged a family members cast-offs when they upgrade. Just put my pay as you go sim in and carry on. But things move on, my current (SWMBO cast off nearly new smart phone) needs a more modern sim which is smaller than the old type. Still, only £6 a month and I must admit a massive improvement on the old tech.

No my concern was the tech guy blaming it on the van and not the mover thingy.;) The reversing device is in the hitch mechanism isn’t it? Or is it a speed thing? But the mover only drives the wheels slow so shouldn’t be an issue:).

Here's a heart-warming story.
A few months ago we agreed to get our soffits and fascias (wood) replaced with plastic, wood coloured. So we did the usual faffing about, got 4 companies to quote etc.
Decided on one and paid a £2k deposit.
Today we got a call telling us the company has had a "management buy out" but not to worry, all would go as planned.
They had to send us a letter as they have had to change the VAT number.
Just read it. Bit more detail. The company actually went into administration due to Covid and one bloke bought the assets and not only took on the suppliers debt but is also honouring all contracts. So he will be out of pocket to begin with as he will see nothing of our deposit but is still doing the job for the same amount.
So we could have been told, "Guess what, we've gone bust and you've lost your deposit"
Wow! Lucky or what?:):):):):)

I have never understood how the brakes, applied when force is put on the drawbar when the tow vehicle brakes, can then be overcome when reversing, which in essence is much the same thing as braking.
In the old days you had a metal collar you dropped on the drawbar when reversing to stop it applying the brakes.
Hope someone who understands all this comes on and puts me out of my misery!;)

Thanks for that mate!
Will read it in more detail later when compos mentis, but it does look as if i have the leading shoe trailing shoe ones. They work fab when towing. But I wonder if always having to reverse on loose gravel has an effect.
anyway, I'll have a real good read tomoz.
Thanks for finding such a concise lot of words!

Reverse slowly ;)

Well that’s a long day and also a crap one.
Waited an hour to be loaded.... nothing till the morning. I scooted my nuts off to get here driving passed all the nice views.

oh & I have been informed I’m going further north .
At least the views are making up for the annoyance involved.
Had a brisk walk in the late sun.

now waiting for info regarding COVID jabs as they are doing them local on weekends for workers ;)
