Gid moaning. There's obviously no pìss for the wicked
Them's the feckers! They used to on private roads ect now we got these..
Cheers I am finding jobs to do that don't involve heavy lifting, so a paintbrush doesn't count!
Mornin, DD.The sky is heavy with cloud with just an odd break through which a watery sun is making a weak attempt to show its face. Looking on the bright side, it is not raining although I'm sure that won't be long before it is activated.
The wee dog got up extra early today - making up for his over-sleep yesterday me thinks - and he is now outside enjoying a little kip.
Lots of 'bits' to do today so it looks as if I am going to be fully occupied.
Enjoy your day, folks.
I've put it on light duties for the moment. It doesn't stop me moving around, not as bad as it has been.Oh No! Hope it resets itself overnight.
I did hear that with plaster drying it was an idea to open all the windows and turn the heating up. Not a cheap way of doing it and obv impossible if it's just going to rain in.Morning All
Been awake in my pit since 5-ish Couldn't stand it just lying there so here I am.
Got the Lurgy since yesterday. Feel really shabby.
Will go get her paper in a while, they don't open till 07:30.
Rained overnight, so wet outside. Condensation in the mini-barn from the drying plaster, so wet inside there too!
Cool and not so bright today.
Have a great day everyone.
Have to say I didn't put the figures in, although you could cruise up and down the longitude or latitude, i normally just put the place into the search engine.Nope I spent 5 mins on it then got a vid call. I'll give it a go tomorrow nite.
I have prepared and painted one wall of the lounge. It is 28 feet long and has two doors in it.Wot you on today?
Me and the missus recently decorated the spare bedroom, she insisted on doing the cutting in. Whenever I do diy, she has a moan about my standards, her cutting in was terrible but I've left it so next time she complains about my efforts, I'll take her to the room and point at the corners of the walls and skirting boards. One nil to meCheers I am finding jobs to do that don't involve heavy lifting, so a paintbrush doesn't count!
Also paperwork.
Wot you on today?
I have been redoing "cutting in" with an artist's brush. Teach me to do it too fast the first time!
Wifey now approves.
Well done!I have prepared and painted one wall of the lounge. It is 28 feet long and has two doors in it.
Very tired now so having a rest before painting the skirting and architrave
No gloss, all satin as I am not a fan of full gloss. I usually do ceiling, walls then architrave that way it's top down and I tend not to get the satin everywhereWell done!
You do the gloss after the emulsion?
don't know if there is a proper way to do it. But I do it like that so you can easily wipe the emulsion off the gloss, makes it a bit faster, well for me.
AHA! but maybe you've just done the undercoat (emulsion) and will finish the topcoat emulsion after the gloss, or maybe you're only doing the gloss undercoat?
Think I'd better shut up now before the rotten tomatoes arrive!
Nope. I phoned then yesterday to ask when they were intending to break their silence as I had heard nothing in 3 weeks. Usual reply "We are so busy ..." I was not impressed! Eventually they suggested I contacted the maker of the Mover and this I did. The chap there was very knowledgeable but from his tone I got the impression my problem was not unusual and it was almost always a 'fitting' problem. He asked me to measure the distance between two named parts and when I gave my best guesstimate he was not surprised that it was larger than it should be - i.e. a fitting problem, so it is going to be back to the dealer. Before I do this I asked my 'gardener' to come and check my measurements - he is a trained mechanical engineer. He agreed that the gap was a bit too big but was not convinced it was that that had caused the problem so he went off in his own little world, taking videos of all the moving bits! Ah! The video has just arrived. I will now forward this to Powertouch to see if they agree.Mornin, DD.
Have you sorted your van's mobility problem yet?
Do they fine you for losing a driver's licence then?Afternoon folks
Another cracking day.
Again spent in the garden in shorts with white legs out, M got out the tow behind and cut the paddock, its coughing and spluttering a bit and has for some reason used twice as much fuel to do the job, and the bloody solenoid seems to have gone duff over the winter. So that's on the list for a coat of looking at.
Cops dropped by and handed me my fine for losing my driving license so I am off down town tomorrow to the bank to pay that then have to take the receipt to the cops, they haven't quite got there with paying things online yet. Why I couldn't have just paid the fine when I registered that I had lost it is all a bit of a modern mystery. That would cut out a huge amount of man hours and people, cant have that. Thinking about taking the bike cos the cop house has a lovely courtyard type area and it would sound awesome in there At least they would then know who owns it. They know all our cars but haven't connected the bike yet.
Treat for tea tonight, Proper chip shop pie and chips.
Hope everybody's day has been good

Hmmm!
Wifey does all the painting in gloss of doors and architraves, she does it slowly but bloody well.
The kitchen I'm doing the walls are in "Egyptian cotton" and the ceiling is in matt white. Couldn't believe how every place I went from the ceiling to the wall, no matter how tiny, really caught the eye, but a smaller artists brush and some wall paint has sorted it out.
If your mrs messed that up how did she manage to do the ceiling line so well? Tis the one I always have a problem with, unless I go very carefully.
Think I must be getting old, that's the first time I messed it up enough to need redoing.
I meant gits. Frigging tablet is doing my head inRobbing bits
