Agreed, but you can't argue with how keen the Merkins are on keeping and restoring aircraft in general.i watched the hurricane restoration and that was good ,though these tend to be a little americanised now which isnt good
true but false cliff hangar moments like if this doesnt fit every 3 seconds doesnt help the actual storyAgreed, but you can't argue with how keen the Merkins are on keeping and restoring aircraft in general.
They are blessed with the space and the weather. Would love a go in a Mustang!
It is the difference between an old fashioned documentary, which documented what was happening and modern television which has to get the snowflakes "excited" every few seconds!true but false cliff hangar moments like if this doesnt fit every 3 seconds doesnt help the actual story
Eye wasQuiet in 'ere tonight, is everyone a sheep?
Wimmins were building them in production. A more controlled environment. Different to a restoration.Just watching "The Great British Spitfire" channel 4.
Far more interesting from an engineering point of view.
(For some bizarre reason reminds me of building a kit car.)
I do understand, as they are worth millions, but can't help feeling they are making a meal of it. To think how fast a bunch of wimmins used to throw them together during the war.
Was with a friend the weekend who built his own plane about 10years ago. Some rule of 500kgs,(the plane & passenger must not exceed 500kgs) you do all your own repairs & get it MOT annually.Just watching "The Great British Spitfire" channel 4.
